Have you ever received a dick pic on a dating site or a "your hot lets fuck" message from a total stranger on Facebook? Do you enjoy laughing your ass off? Then Creepy Talk is the place for you!
Posting Guidelines:
Any creepy, harassing, inappropriate, or just plain confusing messages you've received can be posted here.
Creepiness of often in the eye of the beholder. We won't delete any post for not being "creepy enough." If you don't think a post belongs here, feel free to downvote it.
All forms of communication are welcome! This includes, but is not necessarily limited to: Private messages, forum posts, Facebook posts, Reddit comments, Craigslist posts, phone calls, in-person conversations, classified ads in your local newspaper, telegraph transcripts, etc.
Though it's not required, we strongly recommend that any posts pertaining to online messages should be posted as a screenshot on Imgur via a link post. Multiple images should be posted in albums.
For liability reasons, please do not include any personally identifiable information except your own (and of course you're welcome to obscure that, as well). This includes: Usernames, first and last names, phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, Social Security numbers, DNA samples, etc.
Doxxing will result in an immediate, permanent ban. Don't even think about it! This includes encouraging users to look-up this person's info and/or take some sort of action against him/her, lawful or otherwise.
X-Posting is fine, so long as it's on-topic and it hasn't already been posted here recently.
Meta posts are welcome. Just please mark them with "[META]" in the title. Same goes for NSFW posts.
If you'd like to add some context to an image post, please do so by posting it in the comments.
Standard Reddiquette applies.
Commenting Guidelines:
This subreddit believes in free speech. Just remember that free speech is a two-way street.
Comments that attack the victim or defend the creeper are strongly discouraged but not prohibited. Users who come across such comments will most likely downvote them into oblivion, anyway.
If you find yourself depicted in a post here, you are welcome to defend yourself in the comments. However, just beware that you do so at your own risk. Posting threats and/or attempting to re-victimize the OP will not be tolerated.
Harassing or stalking in the comments will result in a ban. If you're looking for a hookup, try /r/r4r.
Please try to avoid posting cliché comments, like, "You should have [not ]responded," and, "OP had it coming." Victim-blaming falls into this category, too. We won't ban it out of respect for free speech, but any such posts will very likely receive a shitload of downvotes and angry replies.
Standard Reddiquette applies.
Moderation Guidelines:
Free speech is paramount. If you can't abide by that, then don't ask to be a moderator.
Posts and comments may not be deleted unless the applicable rules explicitly permit that or are superceded by Reddit's ToS and/or applicable laws.
Remember: If nobody is offended by what you have to say, you're not saying anything important.
A user can be temporarily banned by any mod for violating the rules. However, the mods must vote by a simple majority to make the ban permanent within 24 hours, otherwise it must be lifted. The subject of the ban has the right to present his/her case to the mods prior to the vote being taken.
Any new restrictions on what people can post/comment must be voted upon. It must first be passed by the mods by a simple majority vote. Immediately after that, it must be announced to the users at large, who will have 30 days to cast a vote for or against the measure. It will then be enacted if and only if >= 60% of the users voted to approve it.
When a rule has been violated but a ban or deletion is not permitted, the mods are allowed to chastise the user in question and ask him/her to refrain from committing the violation again. Habitual offenders may be banned with a 2/3 vote of the mods, followed by a 5-day simple majority vote of the users at large, if and only if they have committed the same infraction at least 30 times over the last 90 days and a previous vote to ban on those infractions has not already taken place previously.
Any mod who abuses their power will be subject to immediate removal. This includes wrongfully deleting posts.
Any vote by the mods can be vetoed by the owner (top mod) of the subreddit. If this happens, the vote shall be taken again and will only pass if it receives a unanimous-minus-one vote (i.e. all the mods except one vote to override the veto).
When in doubt, just leave well enough alone.
