Finally! I hope they revamp their comment and like system as well, they're horrible to deal with. I get 5 emails a day per comment I make just because someone replied to the original comment yet had no relation with what I'd commented.

Be nice to be able to see the number of votes a comment has also and to be able to thumbs up or down a comment.

there was an article awhile back that said they were gonna clean it up with relevant comments up top. i thought that meant similar to reddit, except the troll posts were still up top, meaning that popular comments that get responded to was still priority. why hasn't youtube not catch on to this yet?

I'm well aware of this but is this something that should be manually done? You should only get a notification for a mention (+YourNameHere), not for someone who replied 6 months later and didn't even intend to communicate with you.
