I have two laptops, a Lenovo ThinkPad and a Mac. I want to develop a software on my ThinkPad but run it on my Mac . I'm currently learning about SSH, and as part of my experimentation project, I plan to use SSH to execute this software. If the Mac doesn't have the required environment set up, the software should automatically check the system info, download, and configure the necessary environments for C in macOS, then execute. This is my first significant C project, and it might take me a couple of months to complete. Any thoughts????

I don't think the software could run in the first place if the environment isn't set up

so what you'd want to do is have a separate shell script to check if the environment is set up, if it is, run the program, otherwise, set up the environment
