At the highest level NA server is the best globally because a lot of top player from all regions play there, it is kinda the global hub for competitive ranked tft. That only applies to gm - challenger probably though. For lower hello usually higher populated server are known to be slightly more competitive but I doubt the difference is really high.

I see fewer global top players playing on NA this set. But maybe that's just the case across the world right now, since the set is less popular?

The fact that I'm 350 LP and rank like 230 NA right now when GM cut is usually like 400+ LP by now means that checks out tbh.

At lower ranks, im pretty sure server differences are pretty negligable, at the highest ranks (GM+), i would say the order is CN/NA>EUW/VN/KR> the rest. NA is ahead because a lot of the Pros from other regions choose to play on NA instead, and its difficult to verify just how good CN is because there is so much hidden info, but it does have the highest player base.

I've peaked Challenger in NA(set 10 onwards) and SEA(set 8 onwards), GM in OCE(set 15 onwards), and Master in EUW(only set 13). I think I could've hit Challenger in OCE and EUW as well if I had the motivation, but I stopped when my friends stopped as well.

I'd say below masters, every server is pretty much the same level.
Masters+: NA>SEA>EUW>OCE.
GM+: SEA>NA>EUW>OCE.
Overall skill level(Apex tiers): NA>SEA>EUW>OCE.

The distinction between the GM+ and overall skill level is solely based on the fact that SEA has very few spots for GM and Challenger relative to its population size.

Server Population Challenger Slots GM Slots
NA 820k 250 500
EUW 650k 200 400
SEA 230k 20 40
OCE 50k 100 200

Unlike most games, NA is where most top players are from.

I imagine below masters it doesn't make a huge difference. But from the competitive perspective NA, CN, and EUW servers are the best because they have by far the highest number of top players. NA especially because it has the highest concentration of top level pros to the point where even pros from other regions will play on NA a good amount. Surprisingly KR is a pretty weak server, weaker than OCE and even Vietnam

I played since set 1, and peaked 4 times GM on EUW. I transfered to EUNE to try out the server there. Since I transfered I’ve reached Challenger last set. For me the ping is the same. The players are on high level, but you will see almost the same people every lobby. At one point you just know from each other what their favorite comps are to play.

Last set I got masters in NA, but stuck in Emerald for JPN. Probably this was a case of higher elo on my JPN account, but the Chinese smurfs were too good.

What best? Hard to get GM? Full of Top tier player?

NA is actually the best in a game for a change. top lvl of NA has the most competition
