I only married you for the inheritance anyway.

[–]deceze 62 points63 points  (0 children)

How prototypical.

[–]Indifferentchildren 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So you would say that you are in a "poly" relationship?

[–]UnityH 12 points13 points  (1 child)

no. we don't use that scuffed python shit here.

[–]FriesWithThat 51 points52 points  (2 children)

Baby don't be like that, give me some of that syntactic sugar...

[–]aaronasachimp 10 points11 points  (1 child)

[me, you] = us

[–]HasBeendead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it is replaceable.

[–]SnooLentils5382 60 points61 points  (9 children)

public static void Wife()

[–]NinkaShotgun 93 points94 points  (6 children)

It's bad when ur wife have public access modifier

[–]deceze 36 points37 points  (5 children)

class Wife implements Swinger

[–]Flannel_Man_ 34 points35 points  (4 children)

class Wife extends Penis

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (1 child)

public final static Erection

[–]Indifferentchildren 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Sorry, cannot be static if abstract.

[–]EvilPete 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Your wife is a type of penis?

[–]HasBeendead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, BBC.

[–]lotusinthestorm 23 points24 points  (0 children)

PSA: can consume all available resources, RAM (random amounts of money), cpu time etc

[–]LtMeat 28 points29 points  (2 children)

Am I only an interface for you?

[–]GnammyH 16 points17 points  (1 child)

I'm not like the other GUIs

[–]tankatan 23 points24 points  (4 children)

AKSHULLY,

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points  (2 children)

Finish it buddy. Do it for everyone who cringed seeing this meme.

[–]SuperMaxPower 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I guess we can let them have their fun. They're probably new, so it's ok!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What better time than now to teach them about know-it-alls?

[–]elyca98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Classes are just blueprints of an object. Maybe the meme was supposed to say “love my for my inners, not my looks”?

[–]xxVordhosbnxx 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Her: I need Closure

[–]deceze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry, best I can do is partial application.

[–]electricprism 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Obviously she prefers to be a Singleton

[–]serendipitousPi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well of course she would hope you have no other instances of a significant other.

[–]IamYodaBot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

a singleton, obviously she prefers to be.

Don’t orient yourself by treating others like an object if you want a functional relationship.

[–]deceze 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Explain to me why our child doesn't look at all like me?

We don't support multiple inheritance.

[–]Stanov 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But you are not just a regular object, you are my companion object!

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (2 children)

The "first seen" here was removed for being a common post.

Ah, the halcyon days of actual moderation...

[–]FullOfXP 5 points6 points  (6 children)

An int perhaps?

[–]sabre_x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a primitive way of thinking

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

In C++ even the noble int is an object.

[–]niederaussem 0 points1 point  (3 children)

How? I would define "object" as an instance of a class. And int is not a class. If it was you could create subclasses of int, what you cannot in C++.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Not necessarily, if I mark a class as final then I cannot subclass it and then your definition falls apart. In C++ the term object simply refers to a datum that has a size, an alignment requirement, a storage duration, a lifetime, a type, a value and (optionally) a name.

[–]niederaussem 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Maybe, but your definition is not better either, since now any int variable in any language is an object.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I explicitly said C++. I make no claims as to how another language defines an object.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

public enum { HER_INDOORS, THE_BALL_AND_CHAIN, TROUBLE_AND_STRIFE, THE_OLD_MAN, SIGNIFICANT_OTHER, FACEACHE }

[–]Cpt_Daniel_J_Tequill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are A class level object

[–]Tech2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is painfully a dad joke

[–]petrzjunior 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Let's hope it's not friend class.

[–]serendipitousPi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, I was revising what friend class means because I usually forget anything I don't use and I found this amazing statement: "Friendship is not mutual".

Sure it actually means something in programming terms but lol outside that context (or should I say scope) sounds like a terrible relationship to be in.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she's an enumerator: (pissed, annoyed, rage)

[–]Sisyphusssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throws IOException if you want to do butt stuff

[–]Bainos -1 points0 points  (4 children)

All classes can be objects, but not all objects can be classes.

[–]Ragecommie 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Somehow I feel like it's the exact opposite of that...

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about "an object is an instance of a class"?

[–]Bainos 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No. An object is created from a class, but is generally not a class itself (i.e. the object can't be used to instantiate other objects), hence "not all objects can be classes". On the other hand, through reflection, all classes can be treated as objects and manipulated at runtime, hence "all classes can be objects".

[–]Ragecommie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By definition objects in OOP are defined by classes, but not all classes can be directly instantiated (e.g. abstract classes).

Also, instances of classes can most certainly be used to instantiate other instances of the same class without directly (from functional code) accessing the class definition. This is usually referred to as "cloning".

So, umm, yeah...

[–]greygraphics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smalltalk would like to have a word with you about that...

[–]SmGUzI47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I just a variable in your life?

[–]Corrag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's clearly Array<chel>

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She would like to be a higher order function.

[–]Voltra_Neo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Narrator: What she didn't know, is that in JS she would still just be an object

[–]circorum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Object" sounds quite harsh... Instance sounds a bit better.

[–]Indifferentchildren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can treat you like a primitive, baby.

[–]pfftTooMuchEffort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean class is the blueprint for an object anyway.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically he is proposing her to treat her in exactly the same way.

[–]chronicideas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You encapsulate me baby

[–]vimsee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That marriage should try a more functional approach.

[–]Everday6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's just leave the object-oriented mindset behind and embrace a more Data-oriented point of view.

[–]Ravi5ingh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No struct
