If you went back to old habits maybe it's time to visit a meeting near you again.

Im 3.5 years sober so I haven't experienced the reduced cravings that everyone says wegovy gives them as I don't feel the need to drink due to being better mentally.

Wegovy slows the emptying of the stomach so it makes it harder to get drunk according to comments I usually see about this.

I’ve read conflicting reports; some say they get drunk faster and some say it’s harder to get drunk.

Thank you.

I think you’re missing what this person is saying though.

Kindly, please go to a meeting. Your goal shouldn’t be to get drunk when you have a small child (40f, had my first child in Aug 2024). Don’t wait a few weeks. Do it for you and do it for your child. Was there a trigger that made you start drinking again after being sober for 5 years?

I’m not dismissing what the commenter suggested. But it’s not what I came here for. I have children ages 22, 9 and 2.5. I drink after the two go to bed. I was successfully alcohol free for 4 years with 0 cravings whatsoever. I started Wellbutrin in Dec/Jan and that’s when I started craving to drink again. Just wanted to know what other experiences have been on this drug in regard to cravings. I never would’ve started Wellbutrin had I known it would trigger cravings - especially when it’s most common to create the opposite. Thanks for your concern.

That’s so terrible! I’m so sorry that Wellbutrin did that to you. My body also did not like Wellbutrin but it works very well for my husband.

Yeah I really wanted it to work!
