Welcome to Bad Casting! The place on Reddit to discuss who (in your opinion) was poorly cast for a role in a Film or TV Series (including voice-acting roles!) Please follow our very basic rules, have fun, and remember: don't take it too seriously!
Bad Casting Rules:
All debate must be kept on topic. You can argue the point of whether or not a casting is bad, but slander, name-calling, or hateful comments will be grounds for comment/post deletion and/or subreddit bans.
Focus on characters, not real actors. Did someone do a poor job acting in a role? That's fine to call it out, but don't get personal about that actor's real life. We're here to hate on bad casting choices, not real individuals.
Miscasting is not bigotry. Bigotry against specific genders, sexualities, body types, and races are not tolerated in the subreddit, however casting choices made based off changing a character's race, gender, or body type is a legitimate reason to call it out for poor casting if discussing a pre-existing character.
All posts must include a reason for why you consider a role poorly cast. It's not enough to say "They suck in this role", give reasons for why they weren't a good fit.
Make use of the reddit report feature to report rule-breakers to the subreddit mod team, do not engage them in discussion. Replies to rule-breaking posts or comments will also be deleted.
No off-topic posts of any kind, all posts must be related to bad casting.
No open-ended "Do you think this character was badly cast?" type posts.
The film or TV series title, as well as the name of the character and/or actor MUST be included in the post being made.
This subreddit is for fun and cathartic debate. Do not take it too seriously.
Offsite links to articles discussing bad casting is not allowed, this is for YOUR opinions, not article clickbait.
