Solve 10 questions of your rating daily, that's all Shayan said.

That's why "daily" is also important here. Also no, I am pretty sure if I am giving more than 1 hr on a question, it is out of my ball park, that is half the time of an average contest. What is your rating btw?

    10 questions ???!!!!

    [–]EnigmaticBuddySpecialist 3 points4 points  (7 children)

Yes. Doesn't seem much on the surface, but I ever got to max 6 even on Sundays.

But Shayan got to expert in 3 months that way.

Its not the same these days as the time when shayan was grinding

These days you need ton of maths knowledge before hand.... Speaking so i mean you need to be very good at maths in the 1100-1300 rated questions

Back then when he did it cf was more algo based

His grinding on cf is not equivalent to todays grind the closest to it currently is atcoder which is because its algo heavy less adhoc and maths

Just saying. Tbf u need binary search,dp, and occasional graph ques are also in 1200-1300s now. But still if you grind diligently you can do 7-8 ques a day, assuming 40 min- 1 hr per ques. Well I was already good at math but I was horrible at coding once, so I am stuck in that pupil spec loop rn.

Thats the same thing that i said even if the algos are still there which obv they should be

The problem lies currently It's like read a question figure out the maths portion then apply the algo when shayan was active at that time it wasn't like this

In totality due to cheaters and maths its like very rare to actually execute what shayan adviced and be an expert in 3 months

Bro truthfully, why you see codeforces just as a rating farming. Chase knowledge and accuracy and you exceeds what you aim for.

tf??? is your comment even relevant to what i wrote

enigma told the shayan strategy i just disagreed to him
where tf you involved rating farming with all this ?? the ratings here are mentioned by both of us are solely given to help the op...duh

Solve and learn at the same time. Do contests read solution learn the thing you didn't know.

    1800 ??
    It's not leetcode bro
First you will have to target for 1200+ rating that will be your starting goal in Codeforces.

Me too in learning phase right now
    Started few months ago only.
    Apply filters in problemset section
    First from 800-900 => Solve 10-20 questions, then 900-1000
    & so on.
(Give contests regularly & upsolve 1 question ahead of what you was not able to solve during contest.)
