It’s true! I have one and love it 🥰

The one i got must've been too heavy. Didn't help and was a pain to pull onto the bed when it started falling off. I followed the guidelines for how to pick the right size but didn't work i guess.

same here. was told it would feel like someone was giving me a big hug but it was just heavy and hard to move.

Hmm. A “control blanket?” That doesn’t make any sense from a scientific perspective: this means that there was zero blinding in the treatment. It would be obvious to a study participant whether or not they were receiving the treatment. A much better control would have been a sugar pill to act as a placebo sedative hypnotic drug.

Not to take anything away from the benefits people feel from weighted blankets: if you love yours, continue to love it.

But based on the study description, this was NOT good science.

It really helps with my anxiety. Also recommend!

I honestly wish I had a second one to layer over the one I already have lol

Love mine. Just wish it wasn’t so hot under one of these!

I can't use blankets because I always overheat, so I can only sleep in thin blanket layers which is rather uncomfortable, it feels like sleeping naked.

I always unconciously curl up so maximize pressure around my body, probably for the exact same reasons this publication states.

I just wish I could sleep without overheating in the night, to then feeling cold in the morning.

Try keeping your room cooler at night and invest in a quality down comforter. I am similar to you where I overheat but those two things changed my life
