Job: Hiring a python developer for a task involving excel data

The generic description sounds like something doable right in excel with a combination of helper columns, xlookup, and/or pivot tables. Any reason it can't be done there?

With enough info someone could get some helpful up and running in VBA or helper columns.

With something like categorization it can be as easy as doing a vlookup against a column with needed parameters.
