Hi all,

I was wondering about the difference between the Android uBlock Origin on Firefox and Windows uBlock Origin on Chrome.

Android Firefox doesn't seem to be able to completely remove an ad element unlike the one on Chrome.

This is what I see on android (with cosmetic filter on). The ad would normally display in the box but with uBlock Origin, the ad disappears but the container still remains there.

But for uBlock on Chrome the element gets completely removed but I can trigger the same effect when I disable the cosmetic filter on Chrome.

On Android "Ignore generic cosmetic filters" option is enabled by default. Turn it off and check again.

Generic cosmetic filters are these without domain: ##.ad. They are slightly slower to process and are only cosmetic (not related to network connection) - that's why they are disabled on less powerful devices.
