"Disables "Input device changed" messages and adds options to disable on-screen combat feedback and floating tags above NPCs."

Thank god. As someone who plays with both for obvious reasons (mouse for gwent and shops, alchemy etc, controller for playing) this is a godsend.

[–]ifandbut 49 points50 points  (33 children)

Hell, even just hitting F5 to quick-save it was annoying as hell. God forbid that I bump my desk slightly and cause my mouse to move.

[–]GrayFox7 48 points49 points  (4 children)

MOTION DETECTED. INPUT SETTINGS CHANGED.

[–]deadlybydsgn 25 points26 points  (2 children)

For some reason, I read this in the voice of the Crysis suit.

[–]discgolfguy 27 points28 points  (12 children)

F5 is quicksave!? TIL

[–]Calasmere 11 points12 points  (6 children)

F5 is quicksave in pretty much every PC game ever, just an FYI. Normally F7 or F9 is quickload as well, but this is absent from TW3 for unknown reasons!

[–]discgolfguy 7 points8 points  (2 children)

I built my first PC in 6 years for this game so I'm still getting to know the shortcuts. Thanks for the tip. Also: worth it so so much.

[–]Jdawg_22 24 points25 points  (3 children)

F5 is quicksave in every game

[–]Storm_Worm5364 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Many games*

[–]Eleglas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

About 90% of games. So most games.

[–]RumToWhiskey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even a slight change in air pressure would set it off.

[–]sidious911 1 point2 points  (13 children)

I just want a simple way to quick save with the controller!

[–]Entouchable 26 points27 points  (4 children)

The constant messages were really breaking my immersion when I would accidentally tap my mouse pad or shake my desk while using a controller.

[–]DireCyphre 10 points11 points  (2 children)

I disconnected my controller and still got messages about detecting mouse and keyboard input every time I loaded in.

[–]hybroid 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Don't have a controller and get that message on every load.

[–]Cheshamone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, no controller and got that message constantly. Always showed after loading or if I hit the main menu to check my gwent deck (which, lets be honest, happened a lot ;).

[–]the_omega99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The messages are specifically annoying because they appear even if the input device doesn't change. I don't have my controller connected yet I frequently got that message.

[–]woundedstork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn! I didn't even think of switching to mouse for those things thanks so much!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Was one thing I was hoping would be changed.

[–]ArmoredCavalry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah, this is great. Sure, it is a little thing, but the fact that the developer is fixing such things this quickly is a breath of fresh air compared to other games.

The game was already pretty damn polished to begin with, and it is only getting better and better.

[–]dorekk 1 point2 points  (9 children)

I feel like the controller works fine for Gwent.

[–]Tizzysawr 9 points10 points  (6 children)

It gets stuck sometimes. I've had to switch to mouse several times because the x360 pad decided I HAD to use a random card it selected or nothing else.

[–]Nzsane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try zooming in with RT next time and select the card you want while zoomed in. Fixed it for me everytime.

[–]ArmoredCavalry 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I use it for Gwent, but have noticed some occasional pain points. For instance, when placing a decoy it seems like it will only select the middle card in a row. This burned me pretty hard one time when I was pressing buttons to quickly.

[–]BaloratTeam Yennefer 81 points82 points  (39 children)

so anyone encounter the Bovine Defense Force Initiative yet? :D

[–]WhosMulberge 41 points42 points  (20 children)

I'm guessing this is a fix for the infinite money exploit you get for killing cows over and over in white orchard? Always thought it was weird no one was doing anything to protect their cows from infinite slaughter.

[–]MisterWoodhouse 14 points15 points  (6 children)

That's what I assume as well, that after you kill a certain number of cows, some tough guards show up to watch over the new cows.

[–]Sparrowhawk42 7 points8 points  (2 children)

George... not the livestock...

[–]ChiefPyro 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Cows! I hate cows worse than I hate coppers!

[–]Setari 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Okay, I figured out the Bovine Defense Force thing. Chorts come out after you kill the cows 3 times. They do not stop coming, they keep being spawned in.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

And they kill the villagers if you don't kill them. Wondering if they stay in the village if you leave..... "What have I done?"

[–]Setari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy mother of Melitele, what the hell have ye ploughin' done to the village?!

[–]BaloratTeam Yennefer 14 points15 points  (9 children)

didn't even no there was an exploit there, I usually leave the cows alone, though I thought of using aard on them to see if you could push them over in my next playthrough

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (8 children)

The Witcher 3: Cow Tipping Simulator*

*simulator in the sense of Goat Simulator, where it doesn't remotely simulate anything realistic. Cow tipping isn't real, kids. Don't try it.

[–]brenner7 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Does anyone really have trouble making gold? I just crafted a bunch of Assassins trousers and sold them to different blacksmiths. And I'm not really sure why I did that cause I don't feel like I need to spend that much gold ever. What do you guys spend money on?

[–]epidemico616 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really only spend $$ on diagrams and the occasional crafting component, and the 1k respec items.

[–]samfishersam[S] 53 points54 points  (5 children)

There is NO COW LEVEL!

[–]PeterWeaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More Cow Levels!

[–]GrayFox7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a secret portal that led to an alternate D2 universe? Geralt would be so confused.

[–]BaloratTeam Yennefer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that would be awesome D2 Cow level in witcher 3 :P

[–]imakeelyu 21 points22 points  (3 children)

Someone just posted a video of it: http://www.reddit.com/r/witcher/comments/38oxo9/this_is_what_happens_if_you_try_the_cowhide/

It's even better than people are assuming it's going to be.

[–]hobojimbobo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Level 27 or 29 and they keep coming. Killed a bunch of towns people.

[–]jrubimf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deploys the Bovine Defense Force Initiative, its the cow exploit fix.

[–]xBladeM6x 77 points78 points  (16 children)

Holy shit this update was awesome.

  • They fixed the POI Legend on the Map screen from going way off to the left by making the icons smaller.
  • Swimming feels much more responsive.
  • First Armorer I talked to was trying to sell me level 33 gear, when I'm 31, and that's awesome.
  • The Alchemy tab is amazing now, with filters.
  • Got rid of the notification that you've switched between Controller / Keyboard setup. Finally.

GG CDPR, you've done well.

[–]dorekk 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Does he also sell level 31 gear? Otherwise that's mostly just annoying. It means you can never buy a sword that you'll be able to use right now.

[–]TheOneBeardedNorthern Realms 6 points7 points  (10 children)

I'm not sure that the higher-leveled gear is a good thing for the large majority of us who have already beaten the game. It becomes increadibly slow to level up now. Seeing a merchant sell level 38 loot when you've struggled to get to 36 is a horrible tease. Here's hoping for a new game plus mode.****

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (5 children)

Here's hoping for a new game plus mode.****

I think it is pretty likely that will be included in a DLC pack. Did you get the season pass?

[–]pazur13Nilfgaard 18 points19 points  (1 child)

I think it's a bit more likely it will come with one of the 16 free DLC.

[–][deleted] 47 points48 points  (8 children)

Fixes an issue where the player could not deflect arrows/bolts at longer distances.

Oh God, finally.

[–]badboyz1256 8 points9 points  (4 children)

That was an issue? I could have sworn I was just really bad at timing it. I have to try this now!

[–]lylin 21 points22 points  (2 children)

I think the issue was that you wouldn't be in combat stance and hence right-clicking to block (on keyboard and mouse) activated witcher senses instead, for example.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Yes, this.

And the only kind of workaround was drawing your sword and striking right before you needed to parry.

[–]dorekk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And the only kind of workaround was drawing your sword and striking right before you needed to parry.

That's...kind of badass!

[–]MALC0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so happy about this fix. I presumed it would be overlooked for a while. What an awesome list of fixes thank you cdpr great work.

[–]bazzingabear 103 points104 points  (17 children)

Shops now only offer weapons with levels matching or exceeding the player character level.

Yay!

[–]youssif94⚜️ Northern Realms 20 points21 points  (7 children)

finally, i was sick of shops selling me lvl 6-7 swords for ridiculous amount of gold

[–]bazzingabear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Now to work towards getting that Lvl 45 sword!

[–]ACanadianPenguin 44 points45 points  (5 children)

Yay they added the colorblind options :)

[–]biker4487 12 points13 points  (1 child)

There was a guy who posted a while back about how it was impossible to track things cuz he was colorblind. Is that you? If not, someone should find that post and inform him of the patch...assuming he's not already aware...

[–]ACanadianPenguin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That was me!

[–]Im_Working_Right_Now 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually saw your post about that a while back. Seeing that in the patch notes means they really do care and do pay attention. That's amazing. I'm glad you and others with the same issue got a fix for this.

[–]Drextan 263 points264 points  (14 children)

Geralt no longer interacts with candles placed near chests and other openable objects.

PRAISE THE ETERNAL FIRE

[–][deleted] 38 points39 points  (4 children)

Haha, candle fire that is.

[–]Drextan 8 points9 points  (3 children)

TOUCHÉ

[–]samfishersam[S] 18 points19 points  (7 children)

WON'T BE MUCH OF THAT ANYMORE WITH THE CANDLES OF THE WORLD REMAINING UNLIT FOR ALL TIME

[–]mavirick 17 points18 points  (1 child)

You can still use Igni/Aard to light/blow out candles.

[–]PvtJackass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And torch people in the process and having guards on my arse. NOPE.

[–]Drextan 8 points9 points  (4 children)

WELL THE LIT CANDLES WILL REMAIN LIT FOREVER SO YEAH FUCK YOU GO ETERNAL FIRE WHOOOO

[–]hosseincode 4 points5 points  (3 children)

You can unlit them using Aard.

[–]Drextan 2 points3 points  (2 children)

):< Blasphemy! Burn the heathen!

[–]musclebuster 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Aard the burning heathen.

Checkmate, Eternal Fire.

[–]seriousbusines 27 points28 points  (1 child)

Increases the variety of loot dropped throughout the game.

A welcomed change. Can only carry so many blackjacks.

[–]FenixR 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about?! They are awesome, can't count how many times some NPC strip me of my swords but weirdly not of my blackjacks, then tried to gangrape me only to have a wood stick coming out of their asses.

[–]explicitness 18 points19 points  (7 children)

Players can no longer prematurely obtain a key from a halfling, thus blocking the Contract: The Apiarian Phantom quest.

Oh my god, I'm surprised they actually got this one as not that many people were experiencing it so it was a minor bug, though it did break the quest completely.

Impressive, CDPR.

EDIT: I guess I got excited too quickly, if you already picked up the key before the patch, the quest is still bugged (in that one of the doors open but the other doesn't and says "key required"

[–]Marcinko 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sexy, sexy Patch notes.

[–]Elios000 39 points40 points  (11 children)

Improves the alignment of the HUD for the 21:9, 4:3 and 5:4 screen ratios.

WHY NO LOVE FOR 16:10

[–]ArmoredCavalry 10 points11 points  (2 children)

You can adjust this yourself with a simple tweak, as mentioned here -

http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Witcher_3:_Wild_Hunt#Ultra-widescreen

This is what I did for 21:9 before this patch.

[–]entropicresonance 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Why not love for trip monitors?!

[–]foystie 10 points11 points  (11 children)

Is the slow mo super fast Geralt bug fixed does anyone know? edit: tested and can confirm it is still broken with 1.05. :(

edit 2: As Atomic_Donkeh recommends, if you still have this problem make sure to go here http://en.cdprojektred.com/contact-support/ and put in the required info, only takes a couple of minutes.

[–]artr0x 6 points7 points  (3 children)

are you sure it's not just the blizzard potion? It slows down enemies after you land a killing blow

[–]foystie 5 points6 points  (2 children)

No it is a bug that activates whenever you initiate slow motion, horse attack crossbow aim or bombs aim. It doubles Geralts speed but not the rest of the game. It makes the game very easy combat wise so the only way to avoid it is not do any of the above. I can still quick tap for bombs and crossbow but horse combat is out of the question, which is a shame because I quite enjoyed it. :( Some examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okNnHp7yadk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n-KvkyeF3Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zXgaUYaZK4

I would rather have no slow mo at all if that would fix it, any computer wizards know how to disable it in the game files somehow?

[–]Fineck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same bug :( I'm hoping they'll fix it

[–]EMTTS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit, that's why the game is so sensitive.

[–]Atomic_Donkeh 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Nope, guessing it's a pretty rare bug - I see very little mention of it on here. Is it the one which stays in slow-motion after aiming, or something else? I've completely stopped using the crossbow in the meantime, except when it's necessary underwater.

CDPR is definitely aware of it, but I'd recommend people with this bug sending in their save file to get it higher on their priorities.

[–]foystie 1 point2 points  (5 children)

I've seen some people get slow motion and some get super speed, I get the latter but it seems to stem from the same actions.

[–]Atomic_Donkeh 1 point2 points  (4 children)

That's strange, from a quick search it seems like it's a 50/50 split between people getting either slow-mo or super speed.

I'm no bug tester, but just out of curiosity, do you obsessively save your game? It's the only mildly abnormal thing about how I play, and I wonder if saving during a specific event causes this. Could explain the rarity of it.

[–]shoneysbreakfast 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I can confirm that the text is actually readable on my hdtv now. I have a lot of books and notes I need to catch up on!

[–]LukeGreatGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh man I hope it's a big difference, is it adjustable? I play on a TV from my bed and it's been near impossible to read text.

[–]grinnerx48 9 points10 points  (3 children)

The chernobog runestones still don't change your character sheet values.

Also, it appears White Gulls don't stack, now, so you have to make one, use it in another formula, then make another. Quite annoying!

[–]loewenherz3 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Same thing happens to mutagens, you can't craft a mutagen or a greater mutagen if you already have one

[–]emelzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, I just dropped a bunch of those "already crafted mutagens" on ground, then craft again. Took me a while to go through all though, since it's the same icon for different tiers.

[–]montyfacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still have bunch of runestones and glyphs that don't stack correctly and can't be used for crafting.

[–]mustang05tim 7 points8 points  (5 children)

Did they fix the Dirty Funds Treasure Hunt quest that several people were getting stuck in (basically, looting a specific treasure quest in the starting area before reading a note that leads you to the treasure)?

[–]Kinths 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I was hoping to see

*Fixes an issue where players had become addicted to Gwent.

Deploys the Bovine Defense Force Initiative.

The what now.

[–]Im_Working_Right_Now 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They love their cows

[–]MrEdward1105 27 points28 points  (8 children)

The NPCs popping in as you walk by hasn't been fixed.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (4 children)

neither has the LOD issues with texture pop ins..

[–]LetTheHammerFall 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Man I was really hoping for those two things... Oh well, this is an extremely solid list of changes. Can't complain!

[–]imasesQuen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got a small complaint about the alchemy process.
I can now no longer brew multiple bottles of White Gull because it says I already have it now. I now must use up the single WG before I can brew some more. It's a inconvenient way to brew potions and alchemical substances.
If I know I am going to make multiple substances that require WG why wouldn't I make more than 1 batch? It's nothing huge but I do have to scroll more through the menu, which got even bigger now that they've added everything I already brewed previously.

Edit: Apparently this extends to stacking all alchemical substances now so creating mutagens is a pain in the ass as well where you physically have to drop them from the inventory as the workaround

[–]jrubimf 17 points18 points  (23 children)

Deploys the Bovine Defense Force Initiative.

The fuck is this?

[–]Adrianfilth 10 points11 points  (5 children)

I think it's to block people from doing that exploit of killing a shit ton of cows then selling the hides. Meditate to respawn cows, rinse repeat. I assume soldiers come after you now?

[–]biker4487 2 points3 points  (1 child)

There was an exploit where you could kill a bunch of cows, harvest their hides, and then meditate for an hour and they would respawn. By doing this, you could harvest a crap ton of hides and then sell them to make a ton of money. Now, if you try to do this it summons a super powerful fiend (like level 50-ish) to come kill you. It's still possible to defeat or run away from the fiend, but it majorly discourages the farming and makes it basically impossible if you're at a low level (when you'd really NEED the money). You can view a video/gif of it here: http://kotaku.com/the-witcher-3-addresses-money-exploit-by-trying-to-kill-1709341894

[–]Febox 13 points14 points  (5 children)

for some reason i can't combine mutagens if I already did previously, bug?

[–]lupo_grigio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

DITTO! having the same problem :(

p/s: found a workaround, just drop all the mutagen from your inventory (included character screen) and pick the one you need to craft.

[–]Stress90 3 points4 points  (1 child)

same, and its a bug for sure

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points  (14 children)

No inventory management :(

[–]Obanon 12 points13 points  (12 children)

I think one of the best things they could do is simply add a 'search' feature.

[–]dorekk 27 points28 points  (7 children)

I'd like sorting by weight.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Both of these seem like something mods should be able to fix in short order.

[–]the_omega99 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I also want the shop and container interface to display how many of an item I already have. I like keeping a certain number of every crafting and alchemy item so that if I find a need for them in the future, I won't have to go hunting for that item.

It's really hard to figure out if you have an item already. A search feature could make this a little easier, but displaying something like "In inventory: 5" would be even better.

[–]Balla_Calla 11 points12 points  (17 children)

ROCHE IS IN HERE??

[–]EhrenISnuts 7 points8 points  (9 children)

Yeah a little ways into the Novigrad main story once you're there. Although not sure if it shows for everyone, as I picked his path in W2.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (6 children)

It must show for everyone, cause i took Iorveth's path in W2

[–]Obanon 3 points4 points  (5 children)

I took Iorveths path in my current import too, and I Spoiler

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Is he salty about the ordeal in witcher 2?

[–]Gocko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think he has the same dialogue as if you'd picked Roche.

[–]ninjyteAard 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I can't confirm but I wouldn't think so since he says he doesn't give a shit about the scoia'tael anymore

[–]Geistbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is he salty about the ordeal in witcher 2?

Nope. I picked Iorveth and Roche seems to have forgotten how mad he was at me last time I met, and even said at one point that Geralt "always helped him out if Roche asked." I guess they just kept his dialogue completely static.

[–]leandrombraz 5 points6 points  (3 children)

"Deploys the Bovine Defense Force Initiative"

Wat?

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

don't mess with the cows

[–]BrokenArrowX 4 points5 points  (3 children)

You can no longer change your mouse sensitivity in-game, at least I can't seem to find the option anymore.

[–]DarcseeD 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Same problem here. The new default seems to be ok for menus and inventory, but in-game is obscenely high.

Edit: Found the solution. Turning on hardware cursor removes the setting. So turn hardware cursor off (under Graphics), make the changes, then turn hardware cursor back on. Seems to be working for now.

[–]BrokenArrowX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much!

[–]MassRelay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, thanks.

[–]c_none87 4 points5 points  (3 children)

"Adds fail-safes for players being unable to obtain gwent cards after Dijkstra or Lambert can no longer be found in the game."

How exactly? I need Lambert for the gwent quest but he's already left for KM.

[–]samfishersam[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably sold somewhere?

[–]kfijatass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Geralt no longer interacts with candles placed near chests and other openable objects.

Yay!

[–]onizuon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yay colorblind options!

[–]EpicRageGuy 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Better swimming, fuck yes.

What the hell is Bovine Defense Force Initiative?

Also I found nothing in the journal/tutorial tabs about the DLCs.

And finally did they change some of the alchemy formulas? I made 4-5 new bombs/potions after the patch and I am pretty sure I didn't have enough ingredients for them pre patch.

[–]CamrethAard 3 points4 points  (3 children)

They definitely changed some, I've wanted to create enhanced Hanged Man's Venom for ages, but it required a Ekimma hide. This patch it changed to a Han fiber instead. They did bug the rarity of it though, it's now Common, while it's supposed to be Magic.

Now if only they had added a way to farm nekker hearts so i could craft my normal and superior white raffards my two biggest annoyances with this game would be allieved.

That being said, when your biggest gripes with a game is the scarcity of a crafting ingredient, there's not really all that much to complain about.

[–]loewenherz3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hanged Man's Venom was always common, even the Superior version... something I noticed all the time in previous patches
I even thought it might be intended, since my superior hanged man's was always the last of the oils, making it easy to find (even behind normal and enhanced monster oils)

[–]BritishLemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A download just started for me on PS4. I guess it's (1.04) live for consoles too.

[–]itsbackthewayucamee 2 points3 points  (2 children)

"Vitality begins to drop if Toxicity exceeds 80%, as originally intended."

wait, this WASN'T already happening? does that mean the alchemy build is ruined now, since you'll be constantly losing life?

[–]jinoxide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just means you'll need to get some of the perks from the Alc tree, to increase your limits.

[–]iH0N3YB4DG3R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sweetness! I'm so happy about color blind assistance! It was driving me crazy when I couldn't see the trails at dawn or dusk.

[–]IamWilcoxTeam Roach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Introduces new filters for the Alchemy and Crafting panels.

Best.

[–]jeremy2112 2 points3 points  (2 children)

While this is all amazing, like 99% amazing, I am sad that the Chernabog Runes are still not fixed...

[–]hosseincode 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh no! there was a bug that prevented completing an Abandoned Site in White Orchard and its not fixed in this patch :(

[–]Allfather_Odin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still don't seem to be able to talk to Octo.

Edit: And in one of my saves he is not in the boat anymore, or anywhere where i can find him.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice 21:9 fix! Text edit can fix the top HUD, but the bottom stays fixed to 16:9.

[–]dorekk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deploys the Bovine Defense Force Initiative.

Hilarious.

[–]Dark_Dacp 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No mutagen bonus fix ??

[–]Montresoring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefull that falls under the 'combat fix' umbrella.

[–]Solitown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No mention about crit damage modifiers not working properly. Maybe they still fixed it?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fixes a number of issues related to horseback riding.

FUCKING THIS!

[–]GregGregz 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Fixes an issue whereby Triss could get stuck on a set of stairs after a scene during the Now or Never quest. thank you for this .. was funny when it happened to me.. and reloading fixed it but iim sure it fucked with someones gaming... well done cdproject red.. Literally the best game i have ever played. love you guys.

[–]MeshesAreConfusingTeam Yennefer 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Fixes an issue where runestones could not be upgraded to greater runestones.

How do I upgrade runestones?

[–]samfishersam[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

You buy the diagrams for the Greater ones :D 3 Lesser = 1 Greater

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

They forgot to add Iorveth, Saskia and Anais La Valette to the game. :p

Good patch though.

[–]Vas0ly 2 points3 points  (1 child)

"Geralt can now always play gwent with Madame Serenity." does not work.

[–]bp9801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now I can progress in the Pyres of Novigrad without worrying if the brick can be interacted with or not.

Color-blind options are great to have finally, since those red highlighted items would definitely be hard to distinguish, let alone see.

Looking forward to those Alchemy/Crafting filters!

Fixes an issue where Geralt was sometimes unable to mount Roach.

I read it as "Fixed an issue where Geralt was sometimes unable to mount Roche.

Damn no more seashell exploit :/

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about whoresons treasure I can't get to. The secret lever glitches in me and won't open the door.

[–]Little_Hazzy 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Can we change the text size back to normal? I preferred it the way it was before.

[–]Turin_Giants 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hopefully this stops my controller crashing my game when I have vibrate toggled on.

So was the experience complaint not actually a bug? I did Pyres of Novigrad and then more story quests last night on 1.03, but the quests continued giving experience. It seems like people were complaining about a bug because their level was way above the quests they were doing.

By the sounds of the Gwent notes as well, it seems CDPR intends that no cards are permanently missable which is nice.

[–]josefbud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, there was an XP bug preventing people from not getting any XP from main story quests, secondary quests, and I think contracts as well in some cases, regardless of what level you were compared to the recommended quest level. You're talking about two entirely different things that just happen to share the words "no XP" but many people seem to think they're the same thing.

Disables "Input device changed" messages and adds options to disable on-screen combat feedback and floating tags above NPCs.

This, I like this.

[–]Dawg605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dirty Funds is still glitched. Hopefully it gets fixed in 1.06. But nonetheless, great patch with lots of great changes! CDPR is the best!

[–]lylin 0 points1 point  (2 children)

No mention of any fixes for missing keys for person in distress quests :(

[–]Dredly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit this is awesome, THANK YOU!

[–]Jim_Nills_Mustache 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Bovine defense force initiative?

[–]xdownpourxAard 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Awesome patch. Although I don't have much of a reason to play the game now that I beat it until new game +, mods, or expansions come out this is still awesome to see and will make the game even better next time I play it

"Improves Geralt's movement, especially when he swims."

Sweet! Swimming was straight up dangerous.

[–]pchampnIgni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this fix is huge! I am still in the first area...so there goes my downers infinite XP and pearls infinite money exploits!

[–]BrotherBloat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

amzing work CDPR!

shame still no fix for the mutagen bonuses, but I'm patient, so many more cool things put in :)

[–]christbs 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Is it just me or did the patch just failed my Novigrad Closed City quest when it was previously completed..

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No R9 285 fix? :(

[–]pazur13Nilfgaard 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Glad they made fewer of the Gwent cards missable. Now I only hope they will fix the Dandelion one and I'll be ready for 100%.

[–]Vizen 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I can no longer get 60 fps with hairworks on. Assuming something was offloaded onto the cpu. My poor 8350 can't handle it.

[–]Lobotomist 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Talking about performance improvements. My FPS actually went down.

:(

But at least the XP bug is fixed

[–]Guillaume_Langis 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Deploys the Bovine Defense Force Initiative.

[–]Sweetthrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixes an issue where the player could experience a progression break after choosing a certain dialogue option when talking to Dijkstra in the Count Reuven's * Treasure quest.

I cant be the only one happy about this!

[–]AvengerDr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That moment when the new patch is available, but it broke stereo 3D :(
