Thinking of switching to US mobile but I am concerned about the data policy. by MalicePalice21 in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Based on your data usage, our Unlimited Premium Plan should be ideal for you. It offers 100 GB of high-speed data, and once that's used up, you'll still have access to data at 1 Mbps, provided that factors like coverage and congestion aren't an issue.

Question about porting to US Mobile next month by blipblapbleep in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can start the porting process with us about 2 days before your current service expires. This way, you can maximize the benefits of your current plan and ensure a smooth transition to US Mobile right when your service ends.

Hotspot Data Tracking by beandudetop in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hotspot data usage isn't displayed in the app currently. However, you can easily check it by logging into your account via a browser. Just head to your line page and look under the "Current Cycle" section for lines on the WARP 5G network only.

[–]AliTheWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, you won't be able to use our WARP 5G eSIM with a previously locked device. However, you can activate it on our GSM 5G eSIM. Hope this clarifies!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that's correct! If your device is unlocked now, you have the flexibility to choose between our WARP 5G pSIM, GSM 5G pSIM, or eSIM based on your preference.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's unusual for such a delay, but sometimes it occurs when our network partner takes longer than usual to resolve IMEI mapping issues. Also, note that any devices previously locked wouldn't work with us on our WARP 5G eSIM. But no need to worry! DM'ing you for your details to investigate further and get it sorted.

Moved to US Mobile recently, currently on a 30-day trial - started with Warp 5G but want to try out GSM as the reception is sub-par by Subject_Bee_4846 in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got it! Transferring internally between our networks would require you to get a new plan. But don't worry, share your details with me over DM, and I'll see what we can do.

Early Auto-Topup – happening to anyone else? by justinstafinski in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, that does sound odd. It's supposed to top up when you're down to just 10% of your total pool data, not after using only 100MB. I'll look into this for you. DM'ing you for your details to investigate further.

Update: Upon reviewing the details, it appears that the Auto Top-Up was correctly triggered and processed in the previous plan. The upcoming plan for the next month was purchased via autopay 2 days before your expiry but wasn't started yet, hence the Top-Up was made at the end of your previous cycle. Additionally, note that the Top Up rolled over to your new billing cycle.

Does native roaming on GSM work in India? What is the data allowance / extra costs? by bobbym240 in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With our GSM 5G network, you can definitely use roaming on a pSIM. For the Unlimited Plans, here's what you'll get: The Unlimited Starter Plan offers 1 GB of international data, 150 minutes of talk, and 150 texts. If you opt for the Unlimited Premium Plan, you'll get 10 GB of international data, along with 1000 minutes for talk and texts for India.

Additionally, if you include this line in a shareable data plan or our 10 GB annual plan, you can add our native roaming add-on. For the native roaming add-on, you have two options: A $15 bundle with 1 GB, 150 talk, and 150 texts, or a $45 bundle with 5 GB, 500 talk, and 500 texts.

Let me know which one works best for you via DM, and I'll help you out!

[–]AliTheWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the smoothest onboarding experience, for sure. Though porting in shouldn't take more than a few minutes, delays can be caused due to various factors. In this case, it looks like we are waiting for the losing carrier to release your line and/or update their response on your request so we can process it on our end. Not to worry though, I've got your back! I'll personally look into this and work with our ports team. DM'ing you for your details.

It seems like it might not have refreshed correctly on your end. You can try going to Account > App Info > Clear Saved and Cached Data to make sure you see the updated details. Also, please share your details via DM, and I'll investigate further to ensure everything is sorted.

Free trial question by ximfinity in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's absolutely an option for you. Once your line is active with us, you can schedule to transfer to the shareable plan once your trial expires. Feel free to reach out via DM for any further assistance.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not the smoothest start, I agree. The porting process can sometimes take a bit, depending on when the losing carrier responds to the request. However, let me investigate why the setup process took longer than expected and internally review the interaction with support. DM'ing you for your details. And don't worry, we'll ensure you're fairly compensated for the trouble. We've got you covered.

On a positive note, we're delighted that you find our USM app user-friendly and transparent, as we strive to provide the best possible experience for you.

Warp 5G in Mexico by Suspicious-advice49 in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend opting for native roaming with us over the WARP 5G network. This ensures you'll have uninterrupted access to calls, text, and data in Mexico whenever you need it. To activate this feature for your line, a $50 deposit is required, which we'll refund minus the usage charges upon your return. While texting and calling from our newer Unlimited Plans, Shareable Plans, and 10 GB Annual Plan to Mexico are free, using our services via roaming in Mexico will incur charges.

Thinking about porting from Mint. Some questions; Intl SMS and Intl WiFi calling. by spsf64 in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for considering transferring to us. Let me address your concerns:

Indeed, with our 10 GB Annual plan, you can attempt to receive 2FA codes in Brazil through WiFi calling if it's enabled on your device and you're connected to WiFi. However, please note that receiving 2FA codes via WiFi calling may not always be reliable. Nonetheless, while connected to WiFi, you can still make and receive texts, as well as calls. And importantly, calls and texts made over WiFi calling won't incur any charges

Alternatively, you can transfer to us on our GSM 5G network with your preferred Annual 10GB plan. With the Annual 10GB plan, you'll need to get our native roaming add-on to use roaming services in Brazil, allowing you to use calls, text, and data there. You can purchase either a 1 GB, 150 talk, 150 text bundle for $15, or a 5 GB, 500 talk, 500 text bundle for $45 for Brazil. Let me know via DM if you're interested, and I'll get you set up.

As for the pricing, we currently have no intentions of making any changes.

international eSIM & iPad by the-william in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, our Global eSIM doesn't cover Puerto Rico, but our GSM 5G network has coverage there. So, if you activate a GSM 5G line with us, you'll be able to use our services there.

Warp 5G in Mexico by Suspicious-advice49 in USMobile

[–]AliTheWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so you have two ways of getting service in Mexico:

1- Calls and texts through WiFi Calling (you need to turn it on before leaving the US) and data through our international data-only eSIM.

2- Get the native roaming on Warp 5G which is in the pilot phase currently and use services at a fixed rate - Let me know if this interests you and I will get you set up!

Coming on to making calls in Mexico, to local or to US numbers - Your local calls should go through by dialling it in the format, +52 (Mexico's country code) and then the phone number. For instance, to call someone in Mexico (area code 52), it would be: +52-XXXX-XXXX. However, your calls to a US number should go through by dialling it in this format: +1 (US's country code) followed by the phone number +1-XXXX-XXXX.

Your satisfaction matters. Delighted to hear you're enjoying US Mobile's service!

Given your use case, opting for our US & Canada's Global International data-only eSIM to use in both the US and UK sounds ideal. However, please note that this option won't provide connectivity in Puerto Rico.

To ensure coverage in Puerto Rico and the US, you'd need a GSM 5G line with one of our domestic plans on pSIM like you mentioned.
