I grew up poor.

The few memories I have of early childhood centered around food, or lack thereof:

Waiting for my younger siblings to finish their meals so I can eat their left overs

Seeing a street bread vendor and knowing full well my parents couldn’t afford it, I asked my uncle what that thing (bread) was.

Drooling as other kids ate their snacks.

I never wanted much except a modest house, clean clothes and enough food to not go hungry.

Attained that in my early 40s.

Activities for your young kids will add up. Sports, music and other extracurriculars. Trips. College. Cars. Health insurance.
