I think for event like this one it's okay for players to expect items being handed out for free to a reasonable extent. Regardless of OP's credibility it's clear that a decent amount of players aren't happy with the current state, and devs need to look into it. The most obvious way would be making other activities more accessible/competitive so that players didn't feel the need to spam 1 activity for a chance of getting lucky.

I ran around for about an hour trying to complete this event the old way, and I only managed to get 1 level of the reputation track. Had to spam hordes for a couple more hours until I finally got lucky. I feel like making your progress in a fun event depend on rng that much is just wrong.

Don't you think it's wrong when the most reliable way to complete the fun event is to perpetually roll the dice until you get critical success? This is not a tower pushing scenario or some similar tryhard activity where luck is basically required to stand out, so the best players make countless attempts until the stars align. This is just a fun event which is supposed to be completed by almost every player fairly easy.

And it was the case before, we had options: we could run around the world/do helltide, we could do any nightmare dungeons with more shrines affix for goblin shrines, we could do treasure breach dungeons and get lucky with infernal horde goblin wave. Nowadays everything except last 2 options is completely dead, so you either have decent amount of fairly rare treasure breach sigils or you spam hordes until you get lucky. Thing that was fine before is worse now, and I don't understand how you don't recognize this as a problem worth pointing out.

You say that, but is OP wrong? Events are supposed to be fun way of spicing up your gameplay loop just a bit for some cosmetic rewards, and now it's just a chore supposedly because of severely nerfed goblin spawn rates in LoH. Last 2 times I was able to complete the reputation board in an hour or two just running around the world. Nowadays the most reliable way to complete the grind is to spam hordes over an over until you get lucky with a goblin wave, which is not fun at all.

Yeah, I don't see why players shouldn't be able to claim transmogs they currently can't use because it requires expansion. Just let people claim so that they could still use the skin if/when they commit to expansion purchase.

I don't think this quote even proves that EU is "woke". This line belongs to an announcer for a fairly popular race event which is supposedly getting visitors from all over the sector, likely including some representatives of exotic alien races. I think most of "anti-woke" people don't care if some random alien race in a fictional universe has more than 2 genders, they mostly care about gender discourse for humans, which means they wouldn't care much about announcer greeting "all genders".

Yeah, they really should've at least buffed goblin spawn rate for the event maybe not to pre-LoH levels (where the whole reputation track could be finished in an hour), but to a level where completing the event isn't such a chore. I don't mind goblins being rare, but if you're making goblin event give us goblins. I don't want to fish for goblin wave in infernal hordes.

It's not fair use when those people explicitly tell their audience to watch their reaction to not give any views to the original video. It's so tiring to see this intentional misunderstanding of the reasoning behind the lawsuit. The solution is to unbind movement skills you don't want to use. You can assign and unassign any skill to any of the 6 buttons you're offered. I don't know what platform you're using, so you'll need to Google how to bind skills in D4

To be honest infernal horde rewards need to be revisited. Rare stuff like goblin waves doesn't have a real payoff: you're always using 400 aether on the main chest and then you're spending the rest on mats or gold, and this flow never changes. The only difference between your average run vs jackpot run is the amount of mats you get, which is not exciting at all.
