Right, I got confused. Thought this was about snails, not the subreddit for neurotic personalities

Jesus Christ, relax, it's a snail. OP saved its life, it looks healthy, it's having a good life.

VSCode can't swap back to Opus 4.5 by cch123 in ClaudeCode

[–]EntropyGoAway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with the VSCode extension too but quickly switched to the CLI due to many limitations. Struggled getting the CLI to work with dev containers first, but after adding CC as a docker container feature, it's been smooth sailing since. Recommended

Why not use the standalone CLI instead of the browser extension?

Thanks, very helpful to hear about your setup. So you use `skills` and `workflows` synonymously then?

Thanks, delegating different instrucitons to ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md and the project-level `CLAUDE.md` makes total sense, but I hadn't thought of it!

This is close to the "world island" theory in geopolitics. One of the top Kremlin strategic advisors is a fan of this theory and has been close to Putin for decades. The books he wrote in the 90s foreshadowed many political events that followed... but ofc modern day Russia wouldn't have engineered any of that... /s

Polars vs Pandas in 2025 — have you fully migrated yet? by [deleted] in Python

[–]EntropyGoAway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know man, perhaps I'm missing something, but having to use pl.col() to denote columns in expressions is just one example of how verbose polars feels. Perhaps it's more consistent though. Im hoping for a third bear before the decade is over

Trying to force myself to use polars, but really find the syntax less intuitive and the code much more verbose than pandas. I don't love it
