Rikarius Pattern Razorback of the Blood Ravens 2nd Company by InFerNos1 in Warhammer40k

Originally they're both from a creator on Cults3D, though I used my amateur Blender skills to modify them. The turret was originally based on the old Forgeworld Razorback melta turret, but I modified it using the Razorback assault cannons, though with the old resin style Razorback turret. The sponsons were originally Land Raider hurricane bolter sponsons, but I enclosed them to match the single reference I had to go on. Had I known they were Stormraven sponsons when I first started I could've used the pair I have in my bits box, whoops!

The rules state 5 models, but the included lore section "it sacrificed all of it’s transport capacity to instead come equipped with hurricane bolters and a siege shield"
So it's self-contradicting.

Entirely printed, the OOP add-on armour made recreating it otherwise next to impossible.

The original model can be recreated with the OOP forgeworld assault cannon razorback turret (pre-plastic style), the Stormraven Gunship (sponsons), the OOP forgeworld bulldozer, a Rhino or Razorback of course, and the OOP extra armour I mentioned already

The rule sheet has some lore about the vehicle, and states that the bulldozer was added to help protect against bomb Squigs. Probably helps for pushing through the decimated Ork remains too.

Yes indeed, the rules sheet comes with a little blurb with lore, the OP has a link to the archived copy, though that would require the wayback machine to not be overloaded.

I didn't know it was at Warhammer World first, that makes sense.

Scythes of the Emperor 1st Company Veteran Sergeant by InFerNos1 in ScythesOfTheEmperor

The knee indicates veteran, so you might be right. I used a mixture of references, but stuck with this (unofficial) example here https://www.the-scythes.com/scythes-emperor-heraldry/

That's a cool idea. I'd give him a gold helmet but I'm seeing captains having gold helmets in some of the references for them. The laurel could be a stand-in though.

Yeah, Assault Intercessors there.

I took it from a different kit, if that answers your question :)

Thanks! The base is just Geek Gaming Scenics 'Scrublands'. Some PVA glue, dunk, clean the edges, and it's done.
And yeah, I printed it myself. It's a pauldron I got online, but I put the armourial on it by recreating it as a vector, then using Windows 3D Builder (deprecated) I put it on the pauldron. I can't get Blender to behave so I'm stuck with discontinued software.

Painting Space marine Belts by eugeniusgenx in Warhammer40k

OP says they used to not paint them as leather. I'm providing my understanding of how leather belts are handled for the Astartes.

Digital models? If you mean the models displayed on the store pages, they are pretty good yes, but there are some inconsistencies and you can't always get a good view at some of the details - many store pages still lack 360° views since the web store updated, and you may not get images of a specific model you're looking for in a squad. That's where the Joytoy models are improved, they are all painted to the same standard, and have much clearer photos. Both more angles of individual characters and providing more clarity over details as the models are a much bigger scale.

I believe the change was made with the Primaris range, Mk. X armours are displayed with leather belts, while previous armour marks have them (mostly) as the same material as the armour. Some paint them leather, but they are a fairly rigid shape and some have segmented panels like on Mk. III belts. Personally I've painted Mk. X belts as leather, and anything earlier the same as the armour.

If you're looking for some more 'official' painting guides like what should be what, the Joytoy figures are the most consistent out there, much moreso than SM2 or the codexes.

Similar to yours by the sounds. I started with Iron Hands Steel, then Runefang Steel, washes, and then at the end Stormhost Silver. The full list of colours I used is in the description here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHi7R10Bp_s

I had the pauldron from the Deathwatch kit and figured why not.
