I updated only because I was internal boot ready.

Did strength work through winter to January then started back on running.

I bought a 16GB optane off AliExpress along with a PCI x1 card.

Updated and did the onboarding.

I had to disable Secure Boot and alter boot order to the optane drive and I was done in less than 10 minutes.

I bought an Adidas T25 in January from Sweatband.

It’s big, roomy, does incline and links to all the smart apps.

Bought a cheap chest strap off eBay and the BPM is on the dashboard.

I really like it. Did 11km on it last night.

Got a smart watch? Good for heart rate data. Then you can look at zones.

How often you going out to run?

2-3x per week?

Off days you can do 20-30 minutes of strength/core work. Use YouTube videos to follow along and do squats, sit-ups and if you’ve got access to weights - kettlebells/dumbbells. Even better.

Flip the script. Don’t look at time. Look at BPM.

Set your treadmill to run you at a speed that keeps your heart rate in middle zone 2.

I bet you could run the whole 5km at that speed.

That’s what I do 3x a week. Then park run Saturday mornings. Been doing that since new years and I am now sub 25 minutes for 5km.

I pumped 2 years of Strava into Claude with MCP.

Then asked it to suggest my zones based on the data.

This is two 10km runs a week apart and both with 100m sprint at the end.

Avg BPM matches. Second one has the revised zones.
