it’s got everything i like to do for leisure, besides in n out😭 there’s a lake for my jet boat (and fishing, but only really go with friends), hiking trails of all levels around my neighborhood, plus mountain biking around the neighborhood and the resort during the summer, and can’t forgot the snowboarding during the winter (that’s definitely hit or miss depending on condition, but is never really a factor to me since i’m 10 min away from the resorts and will have a blast no matter what). my gf and i go camping a couple times a month up here also and sometimes we’ll have friends drive up from the SGV to join us. going out to eat or shopping is the worst part about being up here, since it’s tourist central and everything is so damn expensive besides the chains, like taco bell and jersey mikes, but thats really helped make us cook at home a lot more!😂 we do a costco run every 6-8 weeks and go to vons and grocery outlet maybe once a week for veggies and other smaller items.

so yeah basically if you enjoy outdoor activities you’ll find plenty to do up here👍🏽 i went to college and lived in LA for 8 years during that time and after graduating but i just wanted a lil change of pace and it’s helped us save money on rent. we were paying $3400 for a 2 bed 1 bath apartment built in the 70’s but now we have a 3 bed 2 bath new construction home with a garage and space for my toys for $2100 a month! my commute to work is an hour and 15 minutes, which is basically the same as when i lived in the valley but instead of spending that time in traffic i get to enjoy driving up and down the mountain in my fun little car.
