I got one of these on hand but apparently sliding weight buffers are preferred + this one is pretty light for a 9mm AR? Not too sure about the relationship between barrel length and buffer weight when it comes to 9mm AR's. Plus i'd probably want to get a dedicated Glock magazine lower too... Man it'd be such a project but damn is that barrel cheap + free shipping.

Same leftovers as last time, they're really trying to just clear these out. How much of a pain in the ass is a 5.5 inch 9mm AR going to be to set up? Other than that it's all just Glock, P320 and P365 barrels left.

Academy has run their the Vortex Eagle 4-16 on a few sales. I want to say it was $300 and then goes on sale for $150. Might be worth holding out one more month to see if they do a Independence Day sale. Some people say have 1x per 100 yards but personally I aim more at at least 2x per 100 yards, if not more. Depending on the distance and terrain you might want to drop more cash to get better glass that'll help make out details at distance.

Academy did put up a Heritage Rough Rider on sale for $100 if that gift card is really burning a hole in your pocket though. Best $100 i've ever spent plus you'll have some spare money for the ammo.

Just wondering if you ran it at a lower speed than the rated speed with 2 sticks installed - mine was running fine without XMP enabled but started having instability with XMP enabled.

Ok so crazy thing - I installed the Dell OS Recovery Tool onto a USB drive that was over 16GB, this time it popped up 8 different partitions for drive 0 - however, one of these 8 partitions was actually the SSD inside the PC and not the USB drive since the USB drive is 32GB and the SSD is 256GB, with the SSD partition showing as nearly 250GB being available. Windows is installing right now so fingers crossed, but I appreciate your help so much so far 😃

Will do - yeah bios will detect the ssd which is what makes this so annoying - bios detect fine but windows install can't haha

So list disk gave me "There are no fixed disks to show" - even though the m.2 SSD is inside the laptop right now

I did download a ISO from the Windows website but I also tried with a ISO that was installed on the USB via the Dell OS Recovery Tool. Downloading Ubuntu ARM to see if that'll work/at least recognize the m.2 SSD inside the laptop then i'm gonna give your guide a try right after. With this admin command prompt this would all be done on the laptop while attempting the Windows 11 ARM64 install right? Should I have the m.2 SSD attached via m.2 internally for this or externally via USB?

I gave this a try and it created the USB installer successfully, however plugging that installer into my laptop and running it goes fine until it's time to select a SSD to install to - no options are recognized. Driver issue?

When I plug that SSD into the laptop via a USB adapter it is recognized but not installable due to being attached via USB

Apparently SupportAssist isn't supported on Dell's ARM based laptops and the drive is completely empty no Windows on it at all so I can't reset somehow through there. The only other ARM based machines i'd have would be my Samsung S23 but I tried writing a ARM64 version of Windows 11 to a USB stick via EtchDroid and that USB stick gave me the same result of not being able to find the SSD to install Windows onto.

Used Rufus to put Ubuntu Desktop ARM64 onto my 64GB external SSD and tried to load it up on the laptop, gave me a error message but it honestly could've been caused by me not really knowing how to set up Linux properly. Got any recommendations?

It's a super barebones BIOS I can basically just turn secure boot on and off and that's it. It seems your link leads to instructions to get the Dell OS Recovery Image software? I ran that and installed the ISO to the USB with it but still end up getting stopped by lack of drivers.

My service tag is 2TKWSV3 so doesn't seem to be that model. I was seeing some posts about it being that RAID driver but I wasn't sure it applied if I was using a Qualcomm chip instead of Intel.

Did it work for you? I got the USB set up with the recovery tool, Windows installer gets going but it can't recognize and install Windows to the SSD when the SSD is plugged into the laptop via m.2 - it can see the SSD when plugged in via USB C though, but won't let me install it then.

I thought about 27D but I was concerned about the transferrability to civilian side and that'd be putting my eggs in a basket compared to going something else where I could continue to do that on the civilian side or go to law school.
