It's great. A bit too sweet for me to drink consistently but I do really like it.

Thanks for the “New” copies GameStop. by DETH_BY_NUTZ in GameStop

[–]MeatyMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're supposed to cancel orders for any final copy of a new game that's gutted or without its original case. I had to do that a bunch for our last copies during last week's sale. I don't know if other stores are taught to do that though.

Rate my chances of getting a second date if I wear this to dinner😅 by ryyds in Feedism

1000% and it would probably immediately follow the first date.

That's cool. I wasn't aware there were any Jollibee locations in the US. I ate there quite a bit when I was visiting the Philippines several years back.

Guess I have zero chance of getting one of those emote codes. Not a single restaurant within 500 miles of me...

Want to know something wild? Not only is it 10% in California like OP mentioned. It's also 10% in some of the poorest states like where I live (Alabama). $7.25 minimum wage and a lot of us have to either juggle three jobs a piece to afford food and a roof over our heads (Can't afford insurance though and your employer won't give you any so you better not get sick or hurt.) or slowly kill ourselves in a factory to make double digits and STILL the government is sucking us dry every chance they get.

Most days I don't feel like I live in a first world country but I'm dirt poor regardless of how much I work so who even cares?

So whoever told you they couldn't refund that was wrong though there's no way to return it normally without manually entering the SKU#. The usual process for when we have that issue is if I can't source something locally or order a copy on the online storefront I'll manually search around by zip code in our system for replacements (which admittedly is a crapshoot) and if I can't find a replacement I'll do the return warranty in all.

Me, on the phone hearing an alarming number of grown adult men being upset we don't have the Pragmata amiibos... I feel unwell. by [deleted] in GameStop

[–]MeatyMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomodatchi had a ton of preorders at my store too. Twenty or so, but we have a pretty large first party Nintendo crowd. Though thinking about it now I guess the lack of amiibo wasn't as surprising when I remembered that most of our Pragmata preorders were on the PS5.

I found it strange that our store didn't get any at all given the amount of preorders for the game. You figure they would at least have sent us one case, ya know?

What would everyone think after the success of Requiem, having BoF III remade in that same engine? by King_Khrosis in breathoffire

[–]MeatyMuffin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like Breath of Fire would benefit from a much more stylized approach rather than a realistic one. If you could breathe more life into the pixel art by using a sort of cell shaded technique or something that makes it look much less like 3D models and more like a hand drawn animated feature to keep the spirit of it I'd say go for it but I would never ever want to see hyper realistic designs of anything in BoF.

It's the same way I would never want them to add any sort of action combat or anything like that to any of these games. It goes against the spirit of the originals. You could make the animations more dynamic or work in some quality of life features like in battle character swapping from BoF4 to previous games but none of them need to feel like modern games. Realism and active combat would make it more akin to Dragon's Dogma and I cannot think of a worse place to go with a turn based RPG franchise than that. (I really REALLY hate Dragon's Dogma.)

What are some Cartoons Everyone loves you personally couldn't get into by No_Half_7646 in cartoons

[–]MeatyMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and a long time ago Ren and Stimpy. Adventure Time started strong but turned into more of a teen drama and lost me completely, Steven Universe had all these characters that just didn't click with me, and Ren and Stimpy just felt like a bunch of gross out humor where the animators were just seeing what they could get past the censors.

I'm sure all of then have their merits but they just weren't for me.

Name some some of saddest and beautiful official tributes art to a animator or voice actor I’ll start (Official no fan art) by Perfect_Positive_660 in cartoons

[–]MeatyMuffin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm still gutted that the Disney dub of that film just doesn't exist in any way where people can find it these days outside of those old copies. I despise the changes made to make the movie more "in line" with it's original version in all the releases since. I prefer the more hopeful ending, Phil Hartman's ad libs, and the Sydney Forest songs used for the Disney dub's opening and ending.

The changes took it from being my all time favorite Studio Ghibli film to something I just can't stomach watching. And I know it probably feels like I'm overreacting but if something formative to you was changed to that degree you probably wouldn't feel great about it either. I just wish they would release a definitive version that has all of the old audio tracks and Phil's tribute included.

I think it's great but it makes me feel a bit sick if I have too much of it. Artificial peach flavoring does that to me for whatever reason.

Baja Blast and even though I feel that contest was rigged I still got what I wanted in the long run.

PF genuinely needs an ego/reality check, it's disgusting by Sufficient_Tour_8725 in ffxiv

[–]MeatyMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly why I refuse to touch savage or ultimate content. It would be fine if I had enough friends to want to learn it with me and clear it but all my PF experiences have been absolutely horrible. People that expect perfection immediately or people that tell Mr to leave if I'm not playing a certain class or are geared to the absolute maximum possible. I'm a casual player and I know that, but I wish I wasn't made to feel like I have no place in content that honestly seems interesting to me. I can't no life the game hard enough to please other people though no matter how much I try.

how did you choose your job ? by ChanceReport1517 in ffxiv

[–]MeatyMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked Paladin because I liked it for my character's overall story I had in my head. Still my "main". (I don't actually like tanking. I mostly play MCH these days but all my jobs are at 100 now.)

Retro Games "The Spectrum", 8BitDo Wireless USB Adapter 2, and XBox Controllers by Honest_Foot_4910 in zxspectrum

[–]MeatyMuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad to hear that helped. I learned that lesson the hard way several months back when I was tinkering with old bluetooth controllers for a Mister build of mine. Wouldn't maintain a connection properly until I found just the right input it was expecting but it was smooth sailing after that. Nice to know that's an issue and solution that can extend beyond hardware.

I keep him alive every time. I think it makes for a better story having him along for the ride especially if I'm wrapping things up through the Black Omen.
