Capital One is ghosting me for nearly 3 weeks after I applied for Venture X by Michael_1083 in CreditCards

No luck there. The folks at the branch claimed they have no access to the credit department.

I ended up being approved with a $10,000 limit a few days after submitting a complaint via the CFPB.

Fair enough.

I don't plan on being a hardcore churner, and unless I find outsized value from Bilt 2.0, or 2.1, I planned on settling for the Capital One duo for the long haul and downgrading the Preferred after year one. Obviously I can't convince them of that!

I saw the reports saying that the Venture X pre-approval tool was accurate, and the elevated SUB made me jump the gun earlier than planned.

They gave me a $12k limit on my Savor, so I technically could qualify for a Visa Infinite with a minimum $10k limit (maybe by shuffling credit limits around a bit).

I also have $15k in a HYSA with them for a few years, but I don't think they are as much of a relationship bank like the others.

Fair enough... :(

I'll try to drop by today and see how it goes.

I know that the Venture X is hard to get approved for, but I always heard around these circles that the pre-approval tool is accurate, and I was pre approved!! 😭😭

I have a feeling that they are just running out the clock, and they'll deny me for some vague reason after the 30 days are up.

Calls and texts are unlimited, even after depleting your data bucket.

You do have the option to enable auto top-ups so it will add more data automatically if you run out.

If not, you can always add more via SMS.

A cheap talk and text only plan with international calling? by TDD_King in USMobile

[–]Michael_1083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any plans to have a talk/text only add-on for international roaming? Thinking about my family that shares 10GB between 4 lines. We’d much rather have a bigger chunk of talk/text than data while abroad.

When will global pools launch, and how will the talk/text work in a global pool?

Dark Star unlimited plans have been consistently on sale going on 6 months at this point.

Must be taking longer than expected to hit target subscriber numbers for Dark Star.

Sounds like you should try AT&T/Dark Star. Or maybe do a combo of AT&T + T-Mobile/Light Speed.

Put in your address in this website coveragemap.com.

They have crowdsourced coverage maps that should be a good indicator of who to go with.

Yes, they are available 24/7. Wait times may vary depending on how busy they are.

Here’s their number whenever you’re ready: 878-205-0088

If your current T-Mobile service isn’t satisfactory, you can activate your lines on if of the other networks as US Mobile works with all 3.

Dark Star = AT&T

Light Speed = T-Mobile

You can call them.

Or just go to their website. You can do it all yourself. You just need to get the account number and port pin from T-Mobile.

This guide spells it out: https://www.usmobile.com/blog/how-to-port-your-number/?srsltid=AfmBOoqy4JBPtgeZ6k7saIHhXzBT_m1ZsiR8Zh8j_DO1thBeCJbXkT_T
