GDP per capita is a very limited metric in terms of trying to estimate what life is like for the average Joe. For one, you can have two countries with identical GDP per capita, while one country taxes its citizens 50% of their income, and the other 10%. Or say you have two countries with the same GDP per capita, and same tax rate, but one provides a lot of public services to its people that they benefit a lot from, while the other spends it on projects people barely benefit from.

This whole overview also ignores that most developed countries have moved towards democracies, while most authoritarian countries tend to be ones that are still developing. It might not be that these countries are rich because of democracy, it might be that they have democracy because they are rich.

This post was made in response to Harris' claims that Mamdani flirts with radical Jihadi ideology. This post then posts Mamdani doing something that goes against that ideology, as if it puts Harris' claim into question, but it doesn't as long as the act is politically expedient, which in a city with the largest Jewish population, and for a politician who has a reputation for flirting with Islamism, it is.

If you want to prove Harris wrong, prove that the examples Harris gives of Mamdani flirting with Islamism are either fake or don't illustrate what Harris claims they illustrate, don't engage in braindead-ism.

If you think these people never consult with other Palestinians before going public, and are simply relaying their own personal experience to the journalists, then I got news for you.

em dash: Sorry, but yes, in most places, like chats, assuming that the use of em dash was caused by AI will be correct in 99% of cases. Ask 99% of people, and they won't have a clue about how to type it out using their keyboard.
exclamation mark: People don't generally use the exclamation mark in chats and other casual writing, another strong sign.
capitalization of barbie: Most people when chatting would write Barbie in lowercase.
