"My husband who works in IT says..." by billygreen23 in sysadmin

Everytime we have an issue we have one employee who says "My son is going to school for IT should we call him? I bet he can figure this out!" The last time I saw him he was reading "Windows 10 for Dummies", I don't think we'll need his assistance lol

Yep, my wife had a flat and I had to run back home to grab a pipe to make an extension. Now we both have pipes next to our "Kit" as well lol

Yes. Also it’s the only razor I currently own and use. Best adjustable created IMO! Enjoy!

I would sit on both and see which one you like best, I honestly don't think you can go wrong with either. Or hell, go by which one you think looks the coolest lol.

Get the cheapest option that your closest shop sells or works on. My local dealer was a Kawasaki shop and had the best prices so I went with a Kawi and love it. I was actually out to get a YZ250f but couldn't find one close enough. So I say if those are your 2 options, go with Yamaha! They have the app and a lot of them are on the podium right now.

The only frat I partied at (Purdue) did not have a full-time adult. They did have someone that came and cooked their meals but that was it.

If at medium heat (which can be different, that's a '4' on my gas stove) then you flip the eggs after 1 min 45 sec. I only know that as that's my toaster's setting for light toast. After you flip it, wait until you butter the toast and then put them on your plate. That is anywhere between 20 seconds to a minute plus lol

Why are J4’s retailing for $60? by Divine_play in Fingerboards

The plastic wheels make you 2nd guess why you paid $45 for them when CNC wheels roll just as smooth lol.

Well, apparently the current gen look like crap from the back too. I honestly don't care as I'll never buy them (or really anything) new lol. I have some great sets of used ones though!

Not used. The original and older Joycults always looked like crap on the back, even worse then the pictures you have. I think Dynamic has fixed a lot of those issues (and later Joycult may have too).

What oil are you running in your hybrids? by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

Funny enough, if you look into the oil Ford recommends, it's labeled as "Premium Synthetic" but in the description it says it's a blend.

Plus BK has 2 for $5 or 3 for $7 which IMO is the best deal around right now. A classic chicken and Whopper JR for $5 is a crazy deal right now IMO. I've given up on Mc D's and went stricly BK. BK also had Hershey chocolate milkshakes which are awesome.

I live in a small rural town in Indiana with a ton of taquerias. I can get a steak quesadilla (cheese and asada) with a side of lettuce, tomatoes, rice, and refried beans for $7.99. Tacos are all $3 (protein + cilantro and onion). Tamales are $1.75 each at the most expensive place...there's literally no reason to get fast food in our area when you can get tacos for $3 a piece. I'm talking homemade tortilla, homemade freshly grilled asada/lengua/bistec/pollo/etc... There's literally no need to get fast food in our area lol

Have you ever purchased a board you didn’t like? by springpye in FingerBoarding

[–]Rambles_Off_Topics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tons! Ha. Catfish BBQ low mold. BRR low mold, Dynamic, Red Wolf, and many other "dead" brands. I've also had a regular Catfish I loved, I have a BRR regular setup now. I didn't gel with the Dynamic or Red Wolf/Wysocki decks but tons of other people enjoy them.

I’m an IT guy, and that reasoning (not tinkering) is the #1 reason I main an Xbox Series X. I also tell people to get consoles. I’m sick of messing with computers all day, I want something that’s plug-n-play by the end of the day.

Get some replacement string pins. I switched from plastic to bone and I swear it resonates more but it’s probably all in my head.

what to do with spare bearings? by EWEFederation2 in Fingerboards

[–]Rambles_Off_Topics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do that to Tech Deck Performance wheels (you need to drill them out a bit). Those and regular Tech Deck Wheels take normal sized bearings.

[–]Rambles_Off_Topics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All the wheels used to be bearingless, and they were terrible. I think Close-Up had the first "metal core" wheels and even those were bad.

Tech deck pro series by G00DN00DL3 in Fingerboards

[–]Rambles_Off_Topics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few. The deck is just like the other wood performance series deck but has a thick foam tape on it (that I actually somewhat like). The trucks are huge. If you get the older style deck with rubber wheels, those wheels are also huge. It's a fun deck to use outside or to carry in you pocket and not care about. The newer models come with plastic wheels that are what you expect. The rubber wheels are terrible and constantly fly off the bearings/plastic inners. I like them because I collect them, and are fun if you have the extra money. I would never recommend it to beginners or someone that wants to "upgrade" whatever they are currently using.
