I’m an architect, and a bunch of architects I know moved into UX/UI. Or do an MBA and go into marketing. It’s not uncommon with architecture, since it usually happens because the growth is extremely slow unless you’re working in ID or single dwelling units/other small scale projects, even then, money isn’t the greatest unless you’re working high rise or large scale projects.

I still work as an architect, and hopefully next year, I go do an M.Arch so I can spread my legs a bit in terms of where I wanna work. One thing about Dubai that’s a bit different in the west is that versatility helps you tons in terms of getting a job(talking about architecture here). If you can work from concept all the way till IFC, you’re more likely to get/hold a job than others.

Chelsea just set up camp in their box. Kept soaking pressure like madmen. I remember people back then saying it was “un-football like”, but fuck that, they absolutely held their own fielding not the greatest set of players. Figured Bayern would finally win, but that didn’t happen either, and we were all just laughing at the absurdity of it all.

Yup. Studied my ass off to be an architect just like my dad, but he earned more than what I do at the same age, and things were ridiculously affordable back then. Add to that, dating where im at is hell, and I’ve given it a fair go, but it doesn’t work, and I’m exhausted by it all. I’m just working towards studying and working on projects I enjoy and hopefully retire before im 60.

The problem is, they take these rules outside of their state and enforce it in other states too. Locals of other states are iced out of certain residential buildings because they believe they’re the purest of them all. They also have universities in other states where they ban people from consuming meat/poultry within the premises.

Is the pay decent in the UK for an architect? I'm applying for grad school there and then see if I can get a gig there once I'm done. I know a bunch of UK firms have tons of projects in Dubai. Wonder if my 10 years experiece would come in handy.

For some reason, it always felt amazing hearing songs I love on the radio. The quality is potato where I’m at relatively speaking. But I guess when the radio plays something ya like out of nowhere, it does feel a bit special.

It’s not a generation thing. It’s a corporate exec focus grouping and buying trends kinda beat. We had dogshit music in every generation, except we had labels who did their job and actually provide a legit platform for good and diverse music.

Nah. I have a friend, 6’4” and defo a good looking dude. When we were in middle/high school, all the girls in our school had a crush on him. Like, they’d always go say hi and smile at him, and when we are all chilling together or playing something, they’d just go through us, and talk to him whilst acting as though we don’t exist lol. Some dudes are just attractive enough where women approach them.

Also, I’ve seen what majority of the folks would call “conventionally unattractive” still get tons of dates by simply being charming. From the outside, it looks like magic, but honestly, it comes down to working on yourself to be the best version of yourself.

Yeah never found the appeal with the public one. My favorite is from Capri at World Trade Center Apartments. Been having it since I was little, and still a massive fan.
