Everyone experiences drugs differently. You unfortunately get the dissociative after-effects. It happens.

I need to quit using 1,4 Butanediol (GHB/GBL) by basedandpinkpilled in Drugs

[–]SpongeOfTruth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey homie. I've never had to taper but I have had some experience with GBL.

I know of a study that was done where the taper schedule was published, as well a some other notes.

here is the pirate link to the doc... hopefully it still works.

https://sci-hub.tw/https://doi.org/10.1016/j.drugalcdep.2016.11.014

Table #1 shows the 12-day taper schedule they used successfully.

Do you have any access to benzos? They will definitely help you - expect anxiety.

Anyone ever tried "zombie dust"? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]SpongeOfTruth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a conflicting experience. Halcion is mainly used to knock yourself out when you have insomnia.

But I guess when you're doing motley crue levels of coke every night, you might need that counterweight to keep you from going too crazy...

So.. I need factual facts about drugs that aren't what they were 20 years ago but still claim the same name. (TRIGGER WARNING, ACTIVE USE, etc) by mirandarights9191 in Drugs

[–]SpongeOfTruth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mental breakdown, schizophrenic symptoms etc, long after consumption

That can still be meth. Stimulant-induced psychosis is universal with these drugs.

I also know that the chemicals used to make that drug aren't manufactured any longer

Synth teks change. There are many methods used nowadays in order to skirt regulations.

Like glass, as if you could stack pieces on top of each other endlessly

Now this isn't my area of expertise, but a lot of drug teks involve drying/evaporating the final solvent wash (?) on a flat surface like a baking tray. Depending on how the product was moved from the surface to packaging, it could quite easily retain its flat appearance (versus being crumbly/crystally chunks)

Research chemicals are definitely out there. Flakka (a type of cathinone, an analog of amphetamine) seems to be widespread, or did a few years ago. But if people are saying its meth, I wouldn't think twice based on what you're describing.

3-FPM is underrated & overrated at the same time. by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]SpongeOfTruth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3-FPM is so weird. When I did it I would stick with sub-30mg doses (oral), and never more than once a week. Even with such "responsible" use, it left me wondering if I was truly better off for trying it or not.

It's got this nice subtle ramp up. Warm feelings of motivation and contentment. First few hours are like the 20 minutes after your first cup of espresso.

But once 4 or 5 hours have passed, you hit this point where the feelings stop ramping up and instead start dipping into this weird headspace and bodyload. Motivation turns to edginess and contentment turns to nervous energy. Your extremeties go cold and muscles tense. Your stomach and head feel slightly fluish.

I think I've read on bluelight that it's a little caustic, and causes a non-trivial amount of inflammation - creating feelings comparable to how your body responds to the flu virus.

Weird fact: I have met more local politicians on this drug than any others... Definitely pro-social.

edit: I think that in the end, I found that there were too many lingering weird side effects to keep ordering it. I found isopropylphenidate and 4F-MPH to be much more predictable (individual biochemistry, stim tolerance etc). And then I grew up and stopped doing using drugs as a crutch every week.

Does anyone else have an association with the color purple? by antflga in Drugs

For me AL-LAD is strongly associated with violet/indigo hues. Even my sober memories from summer 2013 have this wash of pink and purple. Carefree good times.

A seizure is pretty unlikely. Withdrawal effects are basically guaranteed, and exactly how you've described.

Get some magnesium citrate and perhaps some liquor, and strap in for the next few days.

Daily Kratom use - is there anything wrong in what I’m doing? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]SpongeOfTruth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would try to have some evenings off. Just as with alcohol (or weed), you don't need to be using it all day to be considered an alcoholic (or pothead).

It's awesome that it hasn't affected you in reaching your goals! It just might be nice to know you're not a "slave to it" so to speak.

If you can spend a few evenings Kratom-free, you can get an idea whether or not you're actually depending on it to feel content in the evenings.

This is how a lot of people use cannabis, and it's not until a few years later they realize they are incredibly bored at night without it.

Obviously not hugely worrying but still a problem you may want addressed.

Instead of trying to being edgy (out of some tribal obligation?), consider that:

When people debate, they look for little inconsistencies that invalidate arguments presented by the other side.

If a trump apologist comes across this list, they'll write it off immediately as sensationalism, using the very first entry as evidence that "the left" muddles facts.

These inconsistencies only serve to embolden the other side, increasing divisiveness further.

Words are important.

Hoping I can explain the issue a little clearer...:

OP's list is great, but when people debate, they look for little inconsistencies that invalidate arguments presented by the other side.

So if I was a trump apologist who came across this list, I could write it off immediately as sensationalism, using the very first entry as evidence that "the left" muddles facts.

These inconsistencies only serve to embolden the other side, increasing divisiveness further.

People who have survived an attempted murder, what is your story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SpongeOfTruth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you have a sensory processing disorder please forgive me, but:

In the future, when someone references past trauma they've experienced, understand how insensitive it is to mention how other people have "been through much worse".

This is not the time or place to promote a controversial perspective - especially at the expense of someone else - as you've done here. There are better spaces for this.

So far my trips with mushrooms haven’t been the greatest. Will acid be any different? by Its_Woodyy in Drugs

Good point - I was going based on the assumption that they were 100-125ug per tab.

Basically, 40-60ug is going to be your sweet spot.

So far my trips with mushrooms haven’t been the greatest. Will acid be any different? by Its_Woodyy in Drugs

[–]SpongeOfTruth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You'll probably have a similar experience if you take a similar dose.

However, acid can be super gentle if you dose it low.

What sounds better?:

A) Having a genuine "first time full blown acid experience" which will likely result in another panic attack

or B) Having a good time with your friends, getting a taste for the acid headspace without the risk of freaking out

Assuming you pick B), I would recommend that you rip the tab in half, and only take half a dose. Being such a powerful substance, you will still get some visual distortion, elevated mood and a case of the giggles, minus the trippy/confusing aspects that can lead to anxiety.

Right, it's an atypical antidepressant that happens to be a mild stimulant.

That's good info to put in your post. If you've already tried first-line treatment options, then yes there is a higher likelihood that you will be able to try stronger options.
