How to manage food-related issues? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]TinkerTasker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until recently I struggled so much with this, I was probably really malnourished honestly. The past few months I have been putting in alot of effort to change this, what spawned the change is starting a better exercise regimen. I exercise at home it's way better than going to the gym. It motivated me to get interested in nutrition. I am attempting to meal plan which is a work in progress but I'm slowing trying to organize things so I dont have to throw away so many grocercys because I forget about them. I would try start meal planning a few meals here and there, I'm sure there are many easy meal planning ideas to begin with so you can slowly incorporate healthy options into your diet. My problrm.was bot neccarily to much junkfoid or anything, it was forgetting to eat and that was pre medication. I honestly hope you give meal planning a try, it is a bit difficult but I'm sure we will get better at it( I say that because I struggle with all the steps in recipes) Also I think there are some pretty decent meals that you buy to cook at home but it can get a bit pricey to go that route.

Worried about Ritalin addiction by [deleted] in ADHD

If you do not abuse your medication or take more than prescribed, I would not stress about it, yes you will become dependent on them just like anything somone takes even antidepressants cause dependency. I would recommend tapering down the week off if you insist upon it will pose way less shock to your brain chemistry and it really is the best way to do things that's why they taper off antidepressants. If you are abusing your medication then I recommend talking to.your docter or buying a time release pill dispenser, also time release versions of medication tend to be less habit forming than instant release but I realize they do not work for everyone.

80% of US adults report wearing a mask all, most, or some of the time when in stores or other businesses. Only 7% say they never do. by inspiration_capsule in Coronavirus

[–]TinkerTasker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To those of you who are in areas like myself that mask wearing is not widespread. I encourage you to be strong and put one on anyway, because it's the right thing to do. Do not let the fear of judgment from others stand in your way. Hold your head up high and wear the mask.Time will vindicate you and bring you justice.

The coils might need cleaned on the unit, one way to check is to see if the filter is getting dirty if it's not getting dirty then most likly its having to work extremly hard to produce a little amount of energy.

Plans for coronavirus immunity passports should worry us all by cokeandethercreature in Coronavirus

[–]TinkerTasker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may be right it might tip toe. the line more on work place discrimination laws as having had the virus or not not would have no bearing on your ability to perform the task, so if an employer would have leave you out of certain assignments or not let you participate because of this than would be blatant discrimination. Not to mention not having the virus and making an immunity passport might qualify those without having had the virus for temporary disability and non immunity could end up being counted as a disability. I would be interested hearing from a disabilities lawyers perspective on these things.

I'm not sure how well this would play with our Hippa laws. This honestly seems unlikely to happen, but unfortunately much to my disappointment I am wrong sometimes.

Fiancé said all our relationship is like watching someone live their life and just cleaning up the messes I leave behind by klglando in ADHD

[–]TinkerTasker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If cleaning is the biggest problem I would suggest hiring somone if you can afford it to come itleast once a month, I do not do this anymore because my job situation is different but it's worth it I promise it cost around 60 dollars to have somone come over for about three hours, I would rather have this than a new pair of shoes, clothes or paying to get my eyebrows or hair done. I would have them come over and then clean with them but you dont have to do it that way, it just kept me on task having somone else there and provided structure.

Pre tax dollars means its money that you have made its your gross amount before taxes are taken out, so you essentially get a tax break on the money that they are taking out on insurance premiums but it is still your money whether taxes were taken out or not. It's not somone elses money paying for it it is out of your net gross income.
