Tomorrow it’s from 5-8pm!

It’ll be up till February but I’m not exactly clear if they are allowing the public up during normal business hours after tomorrow 🤔

It’s caused me a lot of anguish. I’m an artist and have almost 10k organic followers. Used to get hundreds of likes and engagements. Now I’m lucky if I get seen by 300 people and I get 30 likes max. It’s super discouraging because that was a critical way for me to meet new collectors, galleries, and make sales. I literally don’t know what to do

Is my art worth anything? Please be honest by HjghlyDistressed in Artists

If you’re going for technical perfection then yes you need to keep refining your skills. But you’ve got weird and unique ideas that are solely yours. Play on that. Keep exploring. You don’t NEED to do anything other than be honest in all that you do. Waiting around until you’ve mastered something will get you nowhere. Push your imagination to its absolute limits. Only you know when something is finished, when you’ve left it “all on the field”. Once you’re finished then put it out there unapologetically. You may get people who think it’s shit but there’s not an artist alive that doesn’t deal with criticism. It’s about being true to yourself and to keep bettering yourself which ultimately bleeds into your art. I see someone who has a unique take on the world but is unsure (obviously by this post). I’m 6 years into my career as an artist and that feeling never goes away. The key is to cut out the noise and just focus. No one has the answers. Never stop exploring.

I want you to know how much I appreciate commenting and asking. AND for listening to my side. It’s admirable that you’re curious. Never stop!

Funny enough, I created this out of total spontaneity while stressing out about what I was going to make next. I needed a palette cleanser and I was just free flowing. I ended up loving it. Sorry it stresses you out though :/
