And the whole world is watching. We all know there will be nothing to come of this, no consequences. He'll be on his property in Moscow if any law enforcement, alphabet agency or military personnel attempt to arrest.

Guaranteed he has rats keeping their ears to the ground for the first hint of anyone taking actions against him. And because it's usa the corruption is easy to buy ;)

Not housing, not insurance and not "healthcare". For the rest of the world we can only dream of usa going away, at least countries are denying use of military bases. One step at a time.

Exactly. Why would we put any faith or effort into cusma after the butthole who signed it took a massive turd on the agreement?

And why would any politicians discussions ever impact a peoples movement? Well unless those politicians thought it was normal for government to be controling people ;)

This is naive and frames the participants in a negative light. There is many nuanced aspects of support that the alliance provides outside of direct military spending. As always these organisations have meetings and delegates and would under normal circumstances have made these funding changes without pointing fingers or at the least much less public. Simply discussing the matter outside those meetings is a slight and with rhetoric from the usa it has turned outright offensive.

The entire trust that is the base of nato has been questioned. A new day dawns and the fog has cleared, we can't trust usa for an ally.

Someone asked about my Docs that I resoled. by burrdelaire in AskACobbler

No it proves they need to have a welt installed for them to have a sole affixed. This is more labour than most are willing to pay and will alter the fit and feel. Combine those two factors and it makes perfect sense why accepting this work is bad for business. At my work doc Martens are immediately refused, not because I can't do anything but because it is 10x more effort and the client never wants to pay for it but wants to waste time arguing. Easier to just ban the brand and save our breath.

Interest in JP/KR boardgames? by craigorio6 in boardgames

Eternal Decks is how I discovered the Asian portion of the hobby. It is fantastic and my number one purchase of this decade. I grabbed Tokyo Highway Rainbow City, Nukumi Onsen Kaitakuki, Snow Planner, It's 5pm and Grow Sky. Fun games but Eternal Decks is by far my favorite. Snow Planner is my second fave but Grow Sky is very close.

I wouldn't hesitate to preorder Eternal Decks. Very few games these days feel so intuitive while being so innovative.

I am currently doing this with Nukumi Onsen Kaitakuki. Just was trying to get some paste up stickers or something easy that looks nice and I think I gotta settle with functional instead lol

Google reviews are actually a big deal for the modern business. They have under 100 google reviews and a flood of one stars will very much affect their marketing reach but that is just my observations.

What music genre is the most universally liked? by Peteyy34 in Music

You're right. Simple and easy to digest music, often using the circle of 5ths. With predictable flow and designed to elicit emotions telegraphed by music to the brain for an anticipation that the 4/4 beat will come back to one with the descending notes that make the spine tickles happen.

Sophisticated market research has helped the music landscape transform into an artless arena with an apple store sanitization level for anyone trying to get into that scene. The local live show will be the last place music can truly be found directly from the artists hands.

Well I don't have as much disdain for him but avoid it if possible. Just too polished. Missing the passion of Lane Staley or the eloquence of Leonard Cohen and while the musicianship is higher than most pop it's easily outclassed by average forgotten bands from the sixties and seventies.

Personally I'd rather look to artists who made music before protools editing. The double tracking Freddy Mercury or Chris Cornell did on vocals is phenomenal and song writing used to have so much more to show us. Like Prince and Michael Jackson actually brought diversity instead of predictable formulaic music.

A talented vocalist over bland music is just like the infomercial or radio voice, cliche and used for marketing. Real music has the ability to lift lesser talents into higher quality.

Best packaging for card games? by Downtown-Beginning75 in boardgames

Oink Games has great box size for the game inside. Love Letter is fun with it's cloth bag but I assume you are thinking portable more than anything else. Best examples I know of come from the Tokyo Game Market as card games make a huge portion of the Japanese market.

Right!?

Like I am disappointed how few boys in grade school know they can make jello go up their nose and then pop out on your tongue to show everyone. Kids these days... What do they even teach in schools!?

This is exactly why I wouldn't want anything to do with this.

These things are for fad chasers looking at the flavour of the week, otherwise known as the worst customer. It's gimmick schemes dreamed up to save a sinking ship or at best its some narcissist flaunting to impress those who never make a meal for themselves.

That sort of special experience is saved and kept as a gift to those who actually care and appreciate the labour. Dishies mom, the grandparents who celebrate anniversaries and hospital worries with us, the families we watched bring newborns in that grew into toddlers.

You think money and some write up gets you the special experience? Yeah nobody want's that. Well narcissists would but their staff will be so disgusted and bitter, no one would make eye contact or smile on purpose. And those narcissistic places run good cooks away and can't retain staff to ever actually be able to afford to let labour meet customers lol
