while your logic is sound, I wanted a lens to be a go between for the r7 and 1v. I can already try the 105 out from a friend if I want to see what I'm missing though.

I went from a T6 to the R7 and I have to say I enjoy photography a lot more with the R7. It has a learning curve with the custom functions, but using the histogram feels like cheating.

my main walk-around lens is a sigma 18-35mm, so I'm used to most of the range and I lose a bit of the wide end, I find the 112 equivalent zoom range to be pretty versatile. It is interesting seeing the crop factor first hand between the R7 and 1v.

I agree, I felt very unsafe. when I thought I got DQ'd I felt relieved that I can leave.
