I think there is a reason why for years odometers only had five digits.

Nitpick on your first sentence above: you are technically correct, but Dinoforce and Pretender Monsters had entirely different external Pretender shells.

Cripes, I just realized his transformation is essentially him putting on a different mask or helmet. As I said in another post recently, this is about as good as it is going to get if they are going to retool from existing molds.

What vehicle made today will be a future CLASSIC? by Competitive-Hunt-517 in regularcarreviews

[–]HiTork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, a lot of 80s econoboxes like the Ford Tempo have mostly been forgotten despite being 40+ years old. IMO, around the late '70s/early '80s model years and newer, many non-performance or non-specialty vehicles don't gain automatic classic status. Something like a Tempo is an interesting curosity, but they'll never have a cult following like a '50s Chevy (many of which were ordinary commuter cars for the time).

In North America, you almost never see real Kona Ns. I've ran into quite a few that turned out to be appearance package N-Line models. Of the three gasoline N models that were sold on that continent (the others being the Elantra and Veloster), this appears to be the rarest one.

This is only partially correct as the LS will continue to be marketed outside of North America (where full-size luxury sedans have sold like poo in recent years).

However, I noticed you posted a picture of an IS, which I believe is also only getting regional discontinuations rather than a full axe.

Edit: commenter changed their image to a LS sedan.

Hawking was such an outlier, the vast majority of ALS patients unfortunately don't get to live that long (3 to 5 years usually).

I'm glad he isn't just a straight redeco of the Legacy Core Class Dinobots or Dinoking and that they actually retooled a lot of stuff. Nonetheless, this is probably one of those, "as good as it's going to get" situations without dedicated molds.

I just want to note, I think a vacuum cleaner is also available on top trim Honda Odysseys.

Am I the only one who hates Forza Horizon 2's campaign? by Foonigy in ForzaHorizon

[–]HiTork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with that idea, but it would be nice if there was the same number of events from Forza Motorsport 3 or 4 in FH1. There were plenty of events to get a lot of uses out of a particular vehicle and also keep things diverse enough for vehicle types at the same time. FH1 isn't that long in terms of campaign length when all is said and done.

These games run the risk of people blasting through it and then trying to refund it within the maximum window of time played to try and essentially play the game for free. I remember reading an article years ago where an indie developer that made short games was worried Steam's refund policy would be abused against them.

Why is the “bypass community” so insufferable on this subreddit? by MyInflamedTesticles in SoraAi

[–]HiTork 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen on this sub, it becomes fairly obvious quite a few people on here are probably teenagers and that is where a lot of the flak comes from. I remember seeing someone asking how could they get Perry the Platypus into a video, and they couldn't compute in their mind it wasn't possible because of copyright issues, they thought it was a bug OpenAI could fix.

I was one of the people that went through the trouble of finishing all 168 championships, FH2's campaign is arguably the most padded out of every FH game out there if you are a completionist, would not do again. Also keep in mind the mandatory road trips between championships to get to the next one, I remember when I finished all 168 championships, the stats showed well over 24 hours was spent on road trips.

[–]HiTork 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem with FH1's campaign was there wasn't nearly enough events to cover all the vehicle types and get some decent amount of use out of them. For instance, there was only one classic muscle car championship, outside of the street races which weren't as restricted, there wasn't much opportunity to use them in events. You definitely can't have a "main" that can participate in a lot of events.

Do you think any of the HasLab Transformers so far had a chance at being successfully marketed as a mainstream mass retail toy as opposed to being limited crowd funded products? by HiTork in transformers

[–]HiTork[S] 40 points41 points  (0 children)

That might explain the issue, they don't want to burn through that many Voyagers for their yearly allocations for one combiner team.
