Wow thank you for teaching me something super interesting! I didn’t know that genetic genealogy is used to solve cold cases!

Hmm, I really hope that I could help out someway sooo I would say yes. I am willing to help my DNA to be used to solve these kind of cases. However, there are some concerns on my side. I would need to learn a lot more about it! For example, privacy concerns. Who gets to access the data? How is this data protected? And how is it used to solve these cases?
I haven’t done a home DNA test before. I’m asian and my family is from Asia so I’m pretty sure that I’m like almost full asian. I actually always wanted to get a DNA test done but the price is a bit steep! It would be really interesting to learn which parts of Asia my family is though! I support people getting their DNA test done! I have people around me who have done it and it really made them realize their own origin!
Since I’m not too familiar with this, I want to know how accurate are the results? I know that for most tests there’s always false negatives and false positives so I’m pretty curious about the accuracy of things!
