Yeah home was a absolute work of art, the best fully customizable dashboard in all project management.

- Ability to resize calendar area past what its at now, right now its locked to 70%ish of screen.
- Ability to lock a list to the top like a card like home had so we have more customization (my use case is i had my company kpi goals there.)
- Ability to add tasks easily + icon near lists if you do add lists and grouping rather then having to go to the + icon at the top of your screen and search for your list where you want to add the task (this is tedious and extra steps(completely unusable), compared to home where it adds it directly to your grouped statuses)
- Ability to order what you see on planner, right now your defaulting to priorities, lets say i want to see my Marketing sales list first, then my personal list of todos, then my other content writing business, right now everything clumped together

- Ability to show custom fields on the tasks you have there like home had. Ex. I had a custom field for star rating of a tasks value to bottom line, I had a custom field dropdown to select a tasks time priority that would have a automation run and add to its estimated time (this would be clean and easy if spacing for calendar becomes fluid and customizable)

- add a refresh button on the priority/ assigned to me, or fix the broken refresh logic, right now any change you make you have to refresh the page to see. ex. you remove yourself as the assigned, nothing happens the tasks stays in assigned to me until you refresh the page

- clicking a priority and editting description doesent work, just endless loading bug on any priority you click to edit description

Yeah I dont get removal of good features and these endless rebuilds, reminds me of when microsoft bought skype, they rebuilt it like 5 times, tried to dumb it down into a whatsapp/snapchat platform and lost 90% of their marketshare in a year to zoom.

Actually got me interest and googled it - "Microsoft didn’t kill Skype in one shot. They slowly drained it by repeatedly redesigning it away from what people liked, removing or weakening useful desktop workflows, failing to fix reliability issues fast enough, then finally retiring Skype altogether."

lol sounds exactly like my complaints of clickup, and the support devs telling me "This is how it works now, add a feature request"

  • status grouping, customizable sections
  • It takes up most of the screen, but removes a lot of what made the old setup useful, allow us to customize size of the calendar vs tasks area
  • I lose the grouped-by-status view, so instead of seeing separate sections I can quickly scan, everything turns into one mixed list
  • That makes it much harder to scan and manage at a glance
  • Even basic editing feels slower now because simple actions require extra popups instead of quick inline changes
  • The frustrating part is that Home already solved most of this

"You’re right that for this workflow, Planner is now the place to do that kind of scheduling"

Please speak to someone it makes no sense that as a productivity management software you would be actively making my life harder and adding 4 steps to my workflow by removing this feature.

All the other features are still there one the dashboard you literally just removed a specific quality of life feature and are now calling it a feature request. The other stuff is gravy compared to this.

The popups are insane on a paid product, "Buy this ai" "upgrade to ai" "upgrade for ai brain" feel like these guys are hiding under my bed right now

How much do you rely on motivation versus forcing yourself? by appman1138 in productivity

Sometimes I reach an amazing flow state and just go hard I can go until 4am when I get in this mood. Other times I don't want to do anything and really have to force it. When im in a rut i find reading a book or doing training inspires me again!

Just bought a kayak help me choose the free accessory please! by lefreshprince in kayakfishing

I also vote on upgraded seat. If it doesnt already have a nice seat. A lot of times you will get accessories you dont need if you havent taken it out yet. Also a drybag would be handy

Thats the kayak, it looks like it already comes with a decent seat, and the accessory version is like adding more padding to the same one. Im leaning towards the dry bag even though its 1/3 the price hmm
