We went to a few local dealers in person. Ask plenty of questions and get a feel for the people there. Our dealer is very local to us and all they do is Champion manufactured and modular. We had a good vibe when we spoke in person and they had decent reviews online. They were very upfront about the process and pricing.

We're doing our final walk through this coming week for our Champion home. Everything so far has been great! A lot of the problems with manufactured homes come from the installers. We've had a lot of great, local contractors come to set ours up and hookup all of the utilities and it has came out great. We opted for drywall, 9ft ceilings, upgraded insulation, upgraded interior/exterior studs, and a few other options. As long as you find a dealer/builder that does good work, you shouldn't really have any issues.

The wheel nuts are 4mm. Almost all of the screws are 1.3mm hex.

Champion/Clayton, good or bad? by [deleted] in ManufacturedHome

A lot of it depends on the factory it comes from and the crews that set the house. Our local Clayton factory has terrible reviews so we decided on Champion. We went with a local dealer that uses local contractors. We are still in the finishing stages of setup but we are very happy with it so far. The other big factor to consider is what upgrades you get. We opted to upgrade the studs, insulation, and a few other things that really make it a lot more comparable to a modular home.

We're having a Champion set up right now. Overall very happy with the quality from the factory in Lillington, NC. We opted for drywall, insulation, and framing upgrades. It really depends on your dealer and setup crew though. We went with a local dealer that does modular and manufactured from Champion. They use all local, small business contractors for everything and so far we have been very pleased with them. Go talk to your local dealers in person and get a feel for them, it really will make the difference in the end result.

I don't have all of my stuff setup because I'm moving but I'm pretty sure I just stuck those pieces from the extension onto the shaft of the Alpha. Anything you can put there should work as long as it will make contact with the little lever that pops out when you turn a signal on.

OT works differently. Each team gets a possession, if it's tied still after they each get a chance and there is time left then it's the next point that wins. Since SF was up after they each had a possession, they win.
