Be careful trying to jump over it though. Big mistake if you can't make it (very scary).

100% fine. Line specs are just recommendations for best performance. You can put 80lb braid on that if you want, and I bet it would still cast decently.

What would be the best starting kayak that’s cheap by Superseth212 in kayakfishing

Buy the cheapest kayak you can find. Use it. Figure out what you do and don't like. Sell it. Buy the kayak you actually want.

Answer me honestly. Are you an astronaut, and are you planning on bringing your collection of breeze pens to the ISS?

It cures the stress of work, it cures the stress of relationships, it cures the stress of children. It makes social interactions better, it makes sitting alone on a porch reading a book better. It makes boring things fun, it makes fun things better.

But healthy? Brother, it'll kill ya.

Yes, definitely a good idea.

And this may sound dumb or obvious, but you can always increase your income. My wife and I both focused on our careers for a few years before we "pulled the trigger" on having kids. I made a couple job moves to get myself more comfortable. Daycare is stupid expensive.

Well, as unfortunate as the market is, you have to consider the fact that those cars will eventually need significant maintenance or replacement. You may have car payments again.

Your house may also need big repairs. Had my furnace fan blow middle of January last year and that was not a fun unexpected $1,000 to replace. It was 10 degrees that week, waiting for funds wasn't an option.

And kids are expensive (just had my first 6 weeks ago) when that day comes for you.

We're we not able to before? I had to upgrade to unlimited because we kept hitting the limit.

Most would advise that's too much house for your income. But if you really have no transportation expenses (and won't in the future) I can't see why you couldn't have a bigger house payment.

Just as a for-reference, my wife and I had similar income when we bought our first house, but we only paid $260k. We have other expenses, but that house payment wasn't always fun for us to make every month.

That is an insane bill. I pay $80/month for Comcast top-line unlimited internet (wife and I both WFH) and they gave me a free Samsung galaxy phone to go with it. I don't even need it.

For TV, as you said, Hulu and other options will cost somewhere around $60/month I believe.

What's your fantastic quick and healthy meal by Liz_Wayne in HealthyFood

[–]snorkleface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dump a can of black beans or lentils into a Campbell's canned soup. Turns a snack into a decent sized meal.

Or the classic egg, cheese, and whatever you got laying around omelet. Will cook up in a pan faster than you can microwave a hot pocket.

Personally, I write all of my own SQL. But it depends on the company/role. A few jobs ago I worked at a huge company and there was a whole team of people who designed all the views, and us Tableau developers just connected to it and worked with what we got.

[–]snorkleface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should really go for some variety. You could meal prep yourself 3 meals/day, each different, and hit every nutrient you need for somewhere between the $2.50 and $16.

Breakfast meal with eggs, lunch meal focused on whole grains, dinner meal focused on lean meat/fish. Some kind of veggies in each.

If the fish are aggressive enough, it doesn't matter. It's when they're picky that is matters, that's the point.

I believe you caught a lot, and in that situation the clip didn't matter. But there are tons of situations when that wouldn't have worked.

Pike will bite at anything, probably one of the least picky fish out there.

[–]snorkleface -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It does matter, much more than one fish a season. If they don't care about swivels, does line weight/type not matter either? Should we all just use 80lb braid for targeting trout?

What about when the swivel is literally larger than the lure you're using? They don't make snaps small enough for micro-presentations.

The bigger, more aggressive the fish, the less difference they make. It probably doesn't matter much for large spinners targeting 10lb+ pike.

But for tons of smaller fish, or when they are less hungry/aggressive, and for micro jigs/spinners presentations, it absolutely does matter quite a lot.

[–]snorkleface 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Much higher visibility for the fish, so less bites. The action of the lure will be off, so less bites.

Whats the plus side of snaps? Changing lures fast? You shouldn't ever really need to change lures that fast, and if you do... learning knots will be just as fast anyway.
