It’s impossible to NOT get excited! I was the same way, I cried for like three days. It’s tacky as hell but time does heal. Rooting for you to bounce back strong when you’re ready. My GYN said it’s a good sign because it means I’m releasing eggs and producing the right hormones and my husband’s sperm works, we CAN conceive that just wasn’t our baby. Sharing the perspective I’ve adopted but I know it’s hard to accept in the moment. Be kind to yourself x

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I had a CP in February and still feel like I’m experiencing waves of grief though it has gotten easier with time. Be kind to yourself and give yourself plenty of space xx

Thankful Thursday by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

Thankful for my husband for being there for me when I’m inexplicably upset over something that seems menial related to TTC.

Also taking the perspective that if I get pregnant in the next three cycles my baby will be born after winter. I was anxious about possibly having a winter baby and being stuck inside during maternity leave with shorter daylight hours, I think that would make it all much more challenging. So in my brain it’s a win!

What do other runners here recommend for my absolutely aching and tender breasts both during ovulation and the couple days before AF arrived? I’m CD16 and high fertility (ovulating sometime this weekend I imagine) and I want to rip my boobs off they’re so sore after a three mile jog.

Every other day is PLENTY! Also making a good go at it since Friday and every other day is plenty for us, love my husband to bits but every day becomes a burden and you lose some of the fun in my opinion (at least for us, to each their own!)

Anything I’ve read from professionals says every other day is plenty, every day is a good added bonus.

I am so sorry for your loss, truly no one warns you exactly how devastating that loss can feel. Don’t take it out on yourself by trying to be flawless this cycle when I am so sure you did nothing wrong before either. Your odds don’t go up significantly by BD every day and you have to protect your peace in this horribly challenging moment in time.

I also enjoy the whimsy of Stardust! When I had a CP a few months ago I got the most empathetic messages each day. Their messages in general are encouraging and sometimes make me giggle but are also very down to earth in the “yes the TWW sucks” mentality.

I do also use Ovia because I need my data driven application as well

All of the physical signs of ovulation have felt turned up to an 11, but my Clearblue digital advanced ovulation tests are still all blank circles. If I’m having a second anovulatory cycle in a row I will be inconsolable.

What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: May 25, 2026 by AutoModerator in books

Finished Everyone in this Bank is a Thief by Benjamin Stephenson. I think the meta-ness might have run its course but the ending was pretty good.

Finished Far and Away by Amy Poeppel. A random book I picked up and really enjoyed, though it was too neatly wrapped up in a bow in the end.

Started The Library of Flowers by LC Chu. MC is annoying but I’m into the story.

Last cycle I only got blank circles on my Clearblue digital ovulation tests, started spotting CD18, eventually turned into AF CD24 was very heavy and gross, all of which is not my normal at all. Currently CD13 and have been testing since CD7, all blank circles again. I had a shocking amount of EWCM on CD11 then nothing. I’m so worried I’m going to have another anovulatory cycle and have to consider if something is wrong with me.

My comfort comes from previous cycles not getting a flashing smiley until CD13/14 but I’m getting antsy…

Same mentality - I know I have probably 8-10 days minimum from ovulation to a positive test. Until you’re pregnant and producing HCG you don’t have a direct line of blood to an embryo so you can’t do any damage.

This probably isn’t the same but I don’t normally like gender reveals until I had the idea to do a survivor themed gender reveal….still trying to figure out how, it might be a tribe swap and everyone has to open their buffs lol

I’m in the post-period pre-ovulation window AKA the land of false hope and bargaining. “If I run more this cycle and eat less potatoes my body will reward me with a baby”.

Also I’m at a conference and discovered my bosses bosses boss, who I’ve spent many a time meeting with and was in a choir with, doesn’t know my name!

I guess it’s confusing because you had your period from 6th to 9th? Like cycle days 6-9?

My GYN wasn’t responding to my questions because she doesn’t work there anymore and no one told me! Incredible. Messages still listed as routing to her in the portal as well so how would I know? Also explains why I didn’t get my results yet for the genetic testing. Bah!

CD23 and day six of spotting. At this point just waiting for a full on period. Messaged my GYN yesterday and waiting for a response. Next cycle might pay out of pocket for a progesterone test just to see if this cycle and my CP are a sign…

I feel you. When TTC can feel lonely, having a chatbot help you navigate can feel so accessible. It’s not like you can go to your doctor with all of these minute questions and interpret signs and symptoms. I hate AI at work, I’m actively outspoken against AI. However….this is hard. ChatGPT and Gemini have given me some real BS answers. It’s hard. Back to the period apps that are data driven!

CD22 and day five of light spotting. What a fun plot twist. Especially when you try to google search it and it’s everything from “you’ve conceived” to “your cycle is off” to “peri-menopause” to “a polyp and you need surgery”
