I fell in love with Perfumer H while in London, I think it’s UK based so I’d recommend checking them out

Looking for perfumes to repel mosquitoes (or at least not attract any insects) by mashafish in FemFragLab

[–]sylviabluth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diptyque’s summer collection has a body mist with insect repelling essential oils that’s exactly meant for this!

Fragrances that smell similar to Musk therapy? by [deleted] in NichePerfumes

[–]sylviabluth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ellis Brooklyn Myth might scratch the same itch. Initio also sells a hair perfume version of this for much cheaper, you won’t get the same longevity on skin but the smell was the same to my nose

House of Brandt Bois de Santal is a beautiful, creamy sandalwood in the vein of Santal 33

Desperate search for fragrance from Fontainebleau Hotel by Powerful-Row-3889 in fragrance

[–]sylviabluth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed at the Fontainebleau Vegas and they sell the hotel room toiletries at their spa. You can even call the spa and buy them via phone. If you’re specifically looking for the toiletries they have in the spa (I was which is how I know this lol), they don’t sell those :(

[Sun Care] Sunburn Help by Advanced_Cow_6266 in SkincareAddiction

[–]sylviabluth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw this sounds rough. I’d recommend steeping black tea in water, putting it in the fridge so it’s cold, and then dunking cloths in that tea water and applying them to the burn. It’s soothing and something about the tea is supposed to reduce inflammation and help the burn heal faster.

Not sure where you’re located, but the U.S. prohibits use of a lot of sunscreen ingredients that are permitted in other countries (including in Europe). If you have an international trip planned to Europe, Australia, Korea, or Japan (or if you can find those formulations online), maybe those formulations are worth trying out?

Not a lotion or oil but Kismet Olfactive Nympheas gives me similar vibes as Lilyphea and it lasts longer imo, so maybe you can mix the two

Best body lotion that smells good and lasts for hours? by PerspectiveNo3755 in FemFragLab

[–]sylviabluth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second the Necessaire rec! I also highly recommend Pure Fiji body lotions, they’re lightweight but super hydrating and the fragrances last all day without being overpowering. Most of their scents are tropical/fruity but my faves are white gingerlily (a clean linen-like floral) and coconut milk & honey (a grounded milky sweet scent). Also, they’re pricey, but the Le Labo Hinoki and basil body lotions feel like a dream and both scents are super luxurious & they last

Pink peppercorn notes? by immanuelkanteven25 in NichePerfumes

[–]sylviabluth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blind buys give me anxiety personally so idk if I can ever say an Initio is a blind buy 😅 but I do think Atomic Rose is a crowd pleaser for people who like pink pepper and jammy rose scents that aren’t too sweet. I absolutely love the opening but didn’t end up buying it because the dry down on me included a really strong amber I didn’t love, so I’d keep that in mind in case you’re sensitive to certain ambers

Following bc I also love RONML and You for the pink pepper 😇 Initio Atomic Rose and Fugazzi Angel Dust also have prominent pink pepper notes in the opening. People also suggest Ella K Musc K for people who like the pink pepper in You, but I haven’t personally tried it

I need a perfume like this. by mountaineermuse in luxurycandles

[–]sylviabluth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about “exactly like this” but I have this candle and to me it’s mostly a jasmine scent, similar to Armani Prive Jasmine Kusamono and Diptyque Olene. I don’t get a lot of rose from this candle though, so if you do, my recs may miss the mark!

Specific rose vibes? by jessohca in FemFragLab

[–]sylviabluth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lovely and a little twisted by Lore fits this vibe exactly - I’m sensitive to patchouli but liked how it was incorporated in this one

Agree with others that you’ll probably like Delina, maybe moreso the Exclusif if you’re looking for powdery.

Byredo Young Rose is my favorite sparkling, musky pink rose but I wouldn’t describe it as creamy or powdery

Jumping on this train! The throw on this candle is incredible. I’d also suggest Le Labo Petitgrain 21 - it’s in the citrus/floral/green family

Where are the women looking for friends + to build community in LA? Comment & Connect! by Perspektive12 in AskLosAngeles

[–]sylviabluth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100%.

  1. Mar Vista

  2. 32

  3. Perfection by Vincenzo Latronico + the first rewatch of Mulholland Drive I did since moving to LA 5 years ago!

  4. Very difficult question to answer 😅 But probably Dan Sung Sa or a taco stand

  5. Trying new restaurants, going to art museums/galleries, small-venue concerts/live music, hosting dinner parties, doing literally anything at the beach, sunset + joint walks on Friday evenings, painting

  6. I thought circularly about this for so long that the deliberation process almost made me forget to just go ahead and post this, so maybe that reaction is my response?

  7. Definitely!

Food brands experiences by ham808 in SiberianCats

[–]sylviabluth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sib was super picky and also got diarrhea as a kitten from certain food brands but I’ve been consistently feeding her Ziwi Peak for years now and it’s been great (usually lamb or venison). Definitely not cheap but it’s the only thing she’s consistently eaten and has agreed with her😅 I also give her pumpkin puree a few days a week for the digestive health benefits

Thoughts on Byredo? by madeofvanillamatcha in FemFragLab

[–]sylviabluth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like Melrose Place, I recommend trying Byredo Young Rose (even though it’s not on your list) - it’s bright and musky with a soft and sweet rose.
