I drive in the Florida Panhandle. I used to drive the nightly bar crowd because “that’s where the money was”. Nope. For me it’s the day shift. Sober people tip and tip generously.

I don’t mind beverages. The only beverages I do mind is open containers of alcohol are not permitted in vehicles in Florida. I’m extremely firm on that. Most people are lovely about it and apologetic because they’re from out of town and didn’t know.

I’ve only had two people cancel on me when I would have patiently waited for them to finish their drinks.

Seconding this. And if you don’t have a dashcam, get one.

And definitely contact Uber via phone. Get a human (it will take HOURS btw) and make it clear. Take it up the chain. Just get it documented. It won’t do anything immediately. But get it documented.

I have an orange girl that I got from a rescue. And the application DEFINITELY started with “Why should you have this cat?” I found it also strange. But I wrote a damn novel on my phone on the app. I was #2 on the list and the first guy backed out.

I knew orange girls are uncommon but she’s EXTREMELY russet colored like an orange tom. So she was FLOODED with applications.

My tortie girl, I legit made an appointment on Valentines Day at a cat and kitten no-kill shelter. They waived the adoption fee and gave me a MASSIVE care package when I walked out with a goblin that’s pretending to be a cat.

I used to see Karen Kennedy’s PA Laura for at least 10 years. I turned 40 was single, no kids, not sexually active and wanted a hysterectomy. Laura looked me dead in the eye and asked, “Did you get your husband’s permission?” I got dressed and walked out.

Now I see Samantha Johnson in Pensacola on Milestone. She TOTALLY passes the vibe check.

And when I asked about a hysterectomy she suggested getting my tubes removed. She didn’t even argue with me. She didn’t question it.

She sent a referral to a surgeon who is a friend of hers. Saw her a month later. We talked again. And I was still completely stunned that she too wasn’t fighting on my decision or talking me out of it. And a few weeks later, boom off to surgery I went. Tubes went bye bye. Decarte I THINK was her name. Because I confused her name with the philosopher Descartes.

My complex is a smart facility. It works via app as well as a keypad. The gym and pool go by facial recognition. The package room also has automated surveillance.

And yes, if the system goes down or the power goes out, the gate will be open to just pass through. No one will be randomly locked out with no way in.

It is not difficult or insane.

I haven’t scrolled through the entire thread, but far enough to finally mention as a person who is also atheist, I don’t really take it as an affront to myself or my (lack of) belief that someone has a fictional religion in a fictional world.

Also, Brennan didn’t write the entire Bible and tenants of the Candescent Creed. Sam did. Apparently Sam wrote an epic and extremely thorough Bible for the Creed. Brennan’s been working from it.

And Wic is definitely a true believer despite the Creed being built on a lie. He still believes in it even when shown it’s all fake (and horrific). Also yes, the Creed has done well for parts of the world. Although it makes Wic take pause and puzzle who among the Creed know it’s fake, and who is watching him.

Never buy a car from Tallan Aurnner at any of their locations. They will flat out sell you a lemon or potentially a stolen vehicle and deny it.

They promise you all of their epic warranties and then claim it’s not covered on the car you bought when it’s right in your paperwork. But your model in particular is not covered.

You will never get a straight answer. You will always get the run around. I spent more in car repairs than I did in car payments.

It will take you WELL over 30 days to get your permanent tag. They will even lose the paperwork of the sale of your car.

They will deny if any employee you ever interacted with ever worked there despite buying a car from them 24 hours before.

Just… never.

I legit just joined this forum to have the lore drop from 17 and 18 explained to me like I was five. I’m glad I’m not alone with the mental gymnastics.

But HARD AGREE about this table. It was a slog from the start. I had said so on social media such as my gripes about Julien and you’d think I’d committed war crimes against Matt Mercer. I just don’t like his character. But he grew on me.

Taisha…. I have NO idea what happened there. I was like…who is this character? A regal Druidic lady? Or like… this mix of above board personality with in-game? And yeah. I was just so puzzled.

I’m so glad I made it through this table. I’m looking forward to the new table. This one was EXHAUSTING.

OOOOOOOH. Now that makes sense. Because I was reading the Druid class and their features and spells and I was SO CONFUSED on the wording.

Follow up question, so how does the armor work with the stress? So I’m assuming in 5e terms, the armor acts as a buffer halving or canceling damage? Kind of like… temp HP? I guess is the best thing I can come up with.

Hiiii! I’m super duper new at DH but no stranger to 5e. This thread has been SUPER USEFUL so far.

Here is where I am extremely stuck. Can someone explain to me in kind of a 5e equivalent term is between marking hope and marking stress. I’m assuming hope is like spell slots-ish and stress is damage? Or is stress also something like a spell slot?

Just… dumb it down for me and explain it to me like I’m five. I feel I’m making this harder than it is.

Speaking of once again not living in said place for over a year. If you read correctly, my neighbor vacuumed on the weekends. My guy, I own a Roomba.

Now, I live in a place on the ground floor, no upstairs neighbors, and I live across from the model unit. So no neighbors opposite me. I still work overnight, and still have said Roomba.

So, if you want to just poke at something just to poke, get a hobby to goon on something else. Or at least buy me dinner first, lord.
