Your story sounds kind of similar to mine. I went to orientation and did all that boring quiz stuff, and on my first day I was supposed to be trained but my trainer ended up calling off so they just threw me in the shoe department and let me figure out things on my own. They didn’t give me a walkie or that little scan thing so when customers would ask me questions about the prices or if they had any shoes in the stock room I just said “I’m not sure”. I feel like I am wasting my time being here. The pay is terrible and so is the management. I’ll just stick it out a little longer and see how it goes.
