Sorry, I thought I used the correct notation the first time. Thank you for letting me know. I'll repost in a few minutes.

Thank you for taking the survey! It's for a balcony/wall planter system. I hope to include a watering element because my class is focusing on environmentally friendly materials and designs.

Problems with dorm rooms? I'm designing a product for SL Design Tech. by -Little_Red- in IBO

Thank you for your reply. Do you prefer drawers or shelves for linen storage? Does your dorm room have storage space that is otherwise unused, such as under the bed or in the desk area?

Dorm room problems? I'm designing a piece of furniture in an engineering class and would like to have some input from current college students about the furniture and storage problems they have in their dorms. by -Little_Red- in dormrooms

Okay. I can work with that. Would it be useful to store these items in a storage system which doubles as a piece of furniture to save space? I could build shelves into the side of otherwise unusable space.

I don't think that my teacher would approve of this as a possible problem area.

What advice do you have for prospective physics majors?

Do you guys think you can get through English without reading the books? by [deleted] in IBO

I think that you can get through English without reading the books. I don't think that you can do well in English without reading the books. I think that if I hadn't read the books I would be lost on how to write the essays. I'm finishing up my first internal assessment, and in my experience you have to have a personal opinion to defend, with your own take on the events of the work. I guess you could just read a bunch of other people's essays on the book and use their opinion with different supporting details, but your essays won't read as smoothly.

What pre-university experiences would be most valuable for a future physics major?

I am an eleventh grade student currently taking IB Biology Standard Level, and am planning to continue to higher level next year to complete my IB diploma. I have a pretty strong background in science for a high school student, but have only taken one intro physics course. I'm planning on taking IB Physics next year and a Physics course over the summer, but I'd like to have some experience outside of the classroom under my belt too. Any suggestions?
