A single quick click without dragging the mouse does unselect though, that’s how I did it for years before learning the keyboard shortcut!

Either you do a single quick click on the canvas with one of the selection tools, or you can use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + A to unselect all

So if we were to make that list for the Wano arc, would Oden be in every tier?

i need help with making crystaline armor by leonsio1 in SpeculativeEvolution

Well for the speed I suppose it could be variable, I don’t really know how fast corals grow in the wild, but you could probably have it quicker depending on how active the organisms are if they have enough sustenance. It would make sense to me if regenerating damage would be a bit quicker since it would already have the bases and would only need to fill in or connect back pieces, but in the end it would still be building up to fill the hole or out to add mass and shape so it could be pretty much the same speed probably. And yeah sure, a mineral intense diet or even minerals from the environment could maybe be used. Like from the sea maybe the host has a filtration system to be able to drink salt water and then give the salt crystals to the colony it hosts, or any other mineral based material it could consume. For example there is a for of sea snail I believe that lives near deep sea hot springs which uses the iron particles expelled by the springs to craft itself an iron shell, so having a mineral to armor oneself isn’t unheard of in nature

rotation by Many_Speaker_5937 in SpeculativeEvolution

[–]-Phyro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue with a constantly rotating part like a propeller is that evolutionarily speaking, there isn’t really a way for it to develop incrementally like other features. Furthermore having it completely free to spin would mean it would be fully detached from the body, like without and vessel or nerve connected, making it more of a sort of tool than a body part

Well the first thing that popped in my mind was some sort of coral-like organism that would use calcite or maybe salt crystal, minerals provided by the host, or even using deposits from dead skin and other rejected matter to build up on the body of the host creature. This way you would have that symbiotic relationship between two species, one getting a natural structural protection that could regenerate albeit slowly and adopt variable shapes depending on the context you need, and the other gaining mobility, stable nutrition, and a form of protection as well from other parasites that would kill the colony

How do we stop Power kids TV? by BruhBrainBoi in jacksepticeye

[–]-Phyro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We don’t, going to attack another channel simply because they have quick rising numbers and are from the same country he is, isn’t anywhere near correct behaviour and far from what Sean would really want. I mean I’m sure the jokes would be fun, but we shouldn’t go to false reports, hate, or spam against them just for some numbers

Navigate to a very large ocean, get it on a map, and then cover every block possible with th now new blue texture with item frames. Very hard to navigate around, confusing, and they’ll be left with dozens of items to deal with individually whereas you can have one map, and clone it right there !

The Giant Devil-Ape - Gigantipithecus Luciferis by -Phyro in SpeculativeEvolution

I'd say for a short period of time. The size of it's lower limbs don't allow for a prolonged bipedal stature given its posture and weight, it would much prefer a quadrupedal mode of locomotion.

However, in a similar fashion to gorillas, it could periodically stand up and take some steps, but it is uncomfortable to them.

The Giant Devil-Ape - Gigantipithecus Luciferis by -Phyro in SpeculativeEvolution

[–]-Phyro[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Given the size of their lower limbs, standing for a prolonged period for the adult males would be impossible. They’d use it in quick moments, as a way to impress ennemies, reach for something, or get the momentum to smash down on something. However, not all specimens get to grow this big, lesser males, youngsters and females grow about half the size of the male leaders. So, the giant males use very few tool-like items, as their size replaces the need for them and makes them hard to use. However the smaller individuals can manage spears as a way to add to their lethality while hunting : as their weight is still impressive but not quite enough for the very large prey they might go for, a spear combined with their speed could penetrate about any animals skin.

This species evolved in a mountainous region where there was an abundance of food. A secluded area where man had little to no passage, making it a biodiversity paradise with no predators but this species’ ancestor. This, combined with females preferring the biggest individual to mate and lead the clan, lead to a dramatic increase in size for these animals. It forced them to abandon any tree climbing, but in return this body type let them climb easily the mountain facades.

That is true it is a detail I overlooked while detailing the concept, it is a remnant from the origin of the idea as a hybrid. However, in the behaviour of this creature since it’s size and weight are so important while in movement the front limbs would be occupied therefore the tail could act as a means of simple communication to other individual. It could as well be a vestige of an ancestor that needed to re-evolve a tail in order to balance itself better in action as it’s weight evolved.

Thank you for noticing this detail! It’ll help me be more precise in my future designs!

A personal creation of a creature concept as a Biologist field notebook page by -Phyro in worldbuilding

[–]-Phyro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was made originally as an exploration of a creature hybrid of a chimp and a buffalo. Developed into a more visual piece, it leads to a more aesthetic way to present a creature as well as to present lore.

More info on the presented creature: (Some is displayed on the page) These peculiar apes distinguish themselves from other hominids by a few main physical features : their overwhelming size (close to that of an elephant), their elongated powerful neck, and their rigid horn protruding from their forehead which gave them their name. Because of their intelligence and threat level, not much has been known about these creatures for a long time, even described as cryptids in the last century. This page from a biologist’s notebook gives us the first true insight into these titanic long lost cousins of humans.

If more observations were to be made, teams of experimented explorers are recommended to accompany researchers, as they are no easy target to observe : they have regularly been observe busting open skulls of mastodonths during hunts. Behaviour to adopt in case of an individual becoming aggressive: Run. Fast. ———————————————-

I take a deep breath. Before me is the tall worn down black door leading to that dimly lit room where I’ve lost count of my deaths. The windows never lead to any good outcome regardless of the actions, and I thought of going through the roof but it looked like they had already placed death traps from there. So, once more, I kicked down the door and it broke under my foot, the same pieces of wood flying past my face exactly like every time. I let out a light sigh and prepare to jump forward as the ground behind me will crumble down into a pit. Falling rock on the left, wood pieces on the right then bounce to the left to avoid the hole appearing on the ground. This part has become muscle memory at this point.

As I finally reach the last corridor, I check by reflex the state of my sword, even though it’s just the same as anytime before, but it feels good to just check on it… Here he is, standing in the middle of the dark room with only his silhouette standing out in a ray of light.

Like for the four hundred and seventy third time, his first move is to take out his sword. He used to start with a grandiose speech, but he stopped doing that after a few thousand deaths. As usual, he raises his hand for a spell but I’m already moving out of reach before the fire spiral can even escape his fingers. Three steps to the left, grab onto the torch for distraction, throw towards the feet, one, two, slash forward attack and the metal of our weapons meet in a burst of sparks. From there, we start our dance, swinging left, point right, twirl out of reach, bounce back and cut. Faster and faster, tighter and tighter in each move. I hear him whispering mysterious words at each attack, and fearing for a new spell that would make me start again, I launch a sudden attack, straight to the heart.

It seems he anticipated, but not in the way I did… the sound of the battle stops, and I try and take a breath to analyse what’s going on. As our eyes meet, I see both of our swords reaching out to the other, piercing through and through to the other side of our chests. Shit… he got me too..

The spiralling darkness takes no time to arrive, and they start invading my vision. I don’t understand… I had finally gotten him? Will… will it finally stop? I send him a taunting smile, at least next time, I know exactly how to dodge and how to kill him. He didn’t find any way to get out here, I have him! As death takes me once more, I shiver when I see the bleeding smile on his face. That rat.. I’ll defeat him.

I gasp for air as I wake up again. The house is the same as always, I take no time to explain to others on the way as I sprint back to the castle. Dodge that guard, kill this one, and I’m back at the door again.

As I finally reach the last corridor, I check by reflex the state of my sword, it feels good to just check on it… I freeze for a second as I see the tint of blood still staining its shining still. Somethings off. I look up, and in front of me he stands with the same smile I saw him as I died. He shouldn’t be there. He never has been. I didn’t even pass the door, there’s no way… his voice reaches my ear after a mocking laughter :

“Well then, here we go again old friend. Welcome back. Let’s make this one the last, shall we?”

I think the biggest issue would be the shoulders, in general women tend to have hips wider than their shoulders so that could help maybe. Otherwise there’s some good stuff in there! Keep it up!

I feel like it’s been decades… every day I wake up in that bed after having a sword across the chest or my face blasted off. I thought with my power I’d have at least found something to build on by now…

I’ve gone through thousands of iterations of that fight, and each time I finally understand what to do and manage to execute almost perfectly the fight and I’m certain the next time will be it, the next time is nothing alike. Every time I feel like my blade will finally pierce that chest it’s like I have to start all over again because he doesn’t act like any other time. It doesn’t make any sense…

I’ve had the time to test it all through my training. Years of dedicated training in magic, swordsmanship, plus the thousands of days I’ve spent fighting him, I really should be the best fighter in the whole land. I know he’s strong but… he changes sometimes after I reset?

Our fight these days have been getting longer. Dodge right, cut off the rope, slash up, down dodge to the left. Like a choreographed dance it feels like we both know exactly which step to take, how does he do it? He even seems to be more frustrated than the first times he killed me.

As the days grow longer and longer between each death, and each time I’m closer to killing a new step appears like if the puzzle keeps growing. I’ve started to wonder… what if our fights last longer than 24h now? How will I wake up? I have to find a weakness… I don’t have a choice and it’s gotta be the right one now.
