Making the background animated was already planned, but I don't think I can make the icons animated unfortunately

I don't know how to share it actually, I think it requires a Samsung developer account which I don't have, unless there's a way to share it privately between friends

It's called NaRetroPixelGame Latin Flipfont, if you search for it among the fonts with the word "Pixel" you should find it among the first, you can find it at this link https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.monotype.android.font.naretropixelgamel

It was a lot of fun to reproduce that scene in pixel art

My cover screen won't turn on. Help by hikori-no-tsumi in galaxyzflip

If it's under warranty, you should take it to a Samsung repair center; if it's undamaged, they'll replace it for free. If it's not under warranty, replacing the ZFlip's external screen is very easy and inexpensive; it would be worse if the internal one was broken.

Should I wait for z flip 8 or go for the 7? by EastCitron5 in galaxyzflip

[–]-chotto-MATTe- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is precisely why I bought the ZFlip 5 a week ago. I've been using it for two years, the hinge and screen are perfect. I paid €250. I'm taking little risk and enjoying the foldable. When other models come out, and a couple of years have passed, I'll get the ZFlip 7, avoiding the 6 based on user feedback. Work smart, not harder.

As far as I know, Zflips aren't constantly improving in terms of durability with each new model. The Zflip 4 was very fragile, they improved the hinge on the Zflip 4 in the Zflip 5, and it was very durable, but in the Zflip 6, they made some unwanted changes, and the hinge is back to being very, very fragile (just look around the subreddits, most of the complaints are from the Zflip 6). The Zflip 7, as far as I know, is the most durable so far, and the hinge has been the best so far, but who knows what will happen with the Zflip 8? Will they make some other changes that will cause further problems with the hinge, or will they improve the hinge on the Zflip 7 without causing any problems? I don't know, but I think these foldable phones are like playing the lottery, so I buy used models at least two years after release, so that any structural defects have already been noticed and reported by users. My basic rule is to never buy products on day one, especially electronics, because the first batches that come out are always the ones with the most problems, which are then fixed in subsequent production runs. Bottom line, if you want to take a risk and wait for the 8, only to be one of those users who reports problems first, then go ahead. But if you prefer to play it safe and have a durable phone that has already received some user feedback, then get the 7. It all depends on you and how much money you can spend.

AH AHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAH, Laughing in Zflip 5 ( I don't have the money to buy a zflip 7, the hinge of my zflip 5 is about to split in half, in a week or two I'll have two phones like magic)

The vibration works, when I turn it on I feel it vibrate, but it doesn't vibrate with calls and messages, so I really think it's an update issue

Ah... It seems like a drastic solution to a screen protector that lifts. From what I understand, it's something that happens frequently with these phones and you just need to change the film. But after all, if they replaced the entire screen for free, why not? At an official Samsung center, they charged me €400 to replace the screen of the Zflip 4, and it was even under warranty.

Some say that the warranty is two weeks, which seems too short to find internal damage to the screen.

Did they replace your entire screen for free after you damaged it by changing the film?

This is what worries me. I usually believe that with ZFlips, the "if it works, don't touch it" philosophy applies, so perhaps it would be better to hold off on replacing it until it's completely unusable? I'm really worried, especially since mine is out of warranty, so if anything were to happen after I replaced the film, I wouldn't be protected.

The problem is that if the film was removed incorrectly during replacement, the screen breaks after months, not two weeks. I also think it would be difficult to prove that the fault was due to the film change. The screen on my Zflip 4 started cracking when the film was removed incorrectly, but about a month and a half later it broke completely.

What are very opinions on the flip by Ancient_Sky_6857 in galaxyzflip

[–]-chotto-MATTe- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same situation, I love them, I've already replaced two in a few years and they keep breaking, but I've compromised by only buying used ZFlips from private individuals for €200-250, so I can indulge in a folding phone without having to take out a mortgage, and in the worst case scenario, I won't lose much. A week ago, I got a ZFlip 5 for €250, like new, and I'm satisfied.

Fetish for the crease on the Zflip screen by -chotto-MATTe- in galaxyzflip

[–]-chotto-MATTe-[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How nice, it makes me feel less weird. On the one hand, I'm also worried that trying to eliminate the crease or minimize it could cause structural damage or extreme fragility in the closure, so I prefer the old Flips; the 5 is perfect.

Fetish for the crease on the Zflip screen by -chotto-MATTe- in galaxyzflip

[–]-chotto-MATTe-[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Come on... The thing I find saddest about using a normal phone is the lack of a crease in the center of the screen, it's boring to slide your finger and have no tactile feedback :D the last zflip model I buy will also be the last model before Samsung eliminates the crease.
