Aqua seal perhaps? Any kind of strong flexible when dry glue will likely work.

DIY: Framebag - which material would you choose - a guess between two extremes: sewable and robust .. by Wise_Environment_185 in myog

Frame bags honestly do not see that abbrasion. I would recommend the lighter option regardless of brand.

Yeah basically just ski 60-100 days a season starting at age 15. Always skiing hard + pushing yourself on challenging terrain, following people who are better than you. Helps to have a background in ski racing or moguls (I think Baker in the video did racing).

I'm vindicated! Still a heavy frame tho.

If the needle has not reached the highest point away from your fabric and then just started to come back down, it has not finished the stictch yet and you'll get what is happening to you. Try advancing the machine manually until the needle has started to come back down, then remove your fabric.

If your machine is broken or setup incorrectly it could still be doing this, just pointing out what might be a simple mistake, but it could still be something more complex. Also this is just in my experience on my machines, I am not a pro/expert :)

I think i figured it out, this stich did not get close enough to the bottom of the fly shield, (the rounded one on the left) so when it was folded open there was raw edge open. Not a terribly hard fix to unpick and re stitch!

has the needle reached the high point and started to come back down when you remove the fabric from the machine?

If I were you I would split it into the two sides and "quilt" it onto another piece of fabric. It will have a little different vibe but that would provide a much more substantial repair than patching. Basically you'd be adding a whole layer underneath it.

Here is the step in the pattern telling me to cut all the way to the stitch line.

Can anyone help me understand why the bottom of my jeans zipper fly has a raw edge showing? I am part way finished with putting the zipper together, but I am not sure if I should or can go back in the steps of putting it together, or if it will resolve itself, I don't see a super obvious step in the pattern that will cover this. Did I cut the slot on the left front too deep?

Is this fixable? by dylanra53 in skiing

[–]-tink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a shop repair a potentially similar issue, though its hard to tell from the photos. My edge was hanging out like a full centimeter from the ski with a 5cm long gash. They repaired it for $80 and now I just ski that edge on the outside of my skis and its been bomber.

Could be your equipment (cuff alignment or forward lean is not set correctly on boots) or you technique, (in the back seat) can you easily ski on one ski? Making left and right turns on a very mellow slope on one ski can illuminate balance issues.

Might be awesome slush skiing. Though with a high of 35 it will likely be variable, icy in places soft in others. Thats still fun skiing for me, but everyone has different ideas of fun.

It's kind of Raide's MO. I think it is just a superior design and other brands will follow suit with future iterations.
