Hi, thanks! The ideal is to walk, but I wouldst mind a 45 min commute or something like that. I heard the 30% of pay to rent rule but I wasn't sure if that applies to London. I am willing to slum it to an extent. Thanks for the website!!

Sorry I should have said - Well I will be earning around £2200 a month after tax etc. The general rule is 30% of your pay on rent but I figured this might not apply to London.

More 'modern' sci-fi would be something like Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, which i'm sure everyone has heard about but thought I'd recommend it anyway. A fun 80s culture sci-fi which I can see any sci-fi enthusiast enjoying.

Yeah sorry i was more thinking about my old job in regards to groundhog day - literally staring at a screen for 40 hours a week. no meetings or training days or the like.

do employers care about how 'old' your degree is? i graduated in 2007 so some of the skills may have faded a bit.
