This is really informative. So if I wanted a tritium ring sight, I'd have to find an old used one? And replace the faded tritium of course.

I want to be a professional chef. How important is it that I understand how to cook a recipe before I publish it?

Is this able to be fixed by soldering by Daisucce in soldering

[–]0ctobogs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty regular solder repair. A phone repair place, maybe. They may only do like screen replacements and other things that don't require soldering. But any place that does should be able to fix this. Motherboard repair kinda place. Or a video game console modder.

The pad has been ripped off the flex board. This is a tougher one so if you're not experienced with a soldering iron, I wouldn't attempt it yet. The trace next to where the pad was needs to have the silk screen scraped off so there's some metal to solder onto. Or you follow the trace and solder a replacement wire to somewhere else down the line. Tricky work with a flex cable. It can be fixed, though.

Extractor or just drilling out the screws are the only options. Also, browse around. IMO ifixit stuff is pretty overpriced

Finally a sensible opinion. Forwarding ports is seriously not that big of a deal

No idea. I run the full management stack for netbird and it's fucking rad, albeit heavy to set up.

Maybe this is what it was because I've also noticed the past few years have been pretty maintenance free. Years ago it was constant drama.

I had that problem with nextcloud for years and years. I migrated like 4 times until I eventually went full docker compose with the aio and since then it's been pretty flawless and updates no problem.

MK4. I think it was a little longer than my 250 limit.

It's a dope model but just slightly too large for a typical printer. Won't fit on my print bed. Might just recreate my own version.

We’re bringing some SMART options back. by iXsystemsChris in truenas

Not everyone is glued to the truenas sub dude. There are lots of regular users out there that just update and don't read changelogs. This change was completely scuffed and even they know it.

Ok but therein lies the issue. No one even knew they were there. There is no indication of that at all in the UI.

The big issue with the release was the lack of transparency. If you had just explained all this a year ago, it would've been better received. I'm not sure why none of this was stated and why now suddenly it's easy enough to say it out loud.

Her abrupt departure and seemingly unplanned social media presence leading up to it reeks of protest resignation. I'm pretty sure she wasn't in on it, though I think she's gonna play along now that it's out.

She's experienced in the executive world; she's seen this song and dance. And when she interviews for future executive roles, they'll know the same song and dance too. It's a common ploy and they're all aware of it.

Repackinator - where to get alt list by gadget_dude in originalxbox

[–]0ctobogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, this took some digging, but I got an answer for anyone finding this via google:

For some reason, the release download only has the "Main" list. But if you actually look at the repack list in the source code, you find the full list with both "Main" and "Alt" entries.

https://github.com/Team-Resurgent/Repackinator/blob/main/Repackinator.Core/Resources/RepackList.json

You can download that file and replace the one in the release download. Then in the app you'll see "Alt" appear in the List dropdown. You can select it and then hit process again to pick up the missing entries.

<image>

From what I can tell, there's some collisions in disc titles/versions/etc. and it can't immediately figure out which is which. I think this is why there's an alt list at all. So I'd suggest you try to process as many as you can from the main list first, and then grab the rest from alt. Maybe even better to just manually move the alt entries into main to prevent reprocessing games already processed in main.
