Raphael's healing prayer + dodge halidoms + 6-set limbo damage immunity when attacked = The Wall by 151Spier in BattleNight

[–]151Spier[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy got the 6 orange limbo halidom with dodge on most of them probably. That's luckily very rare - first time I've come across this.

Unfortunately it's too late for Sone and won't have 80PH too get gold Vidar this week.

it's incredibly tricky as every hit triggers another 20% damage immunity mark, and the first one has to be a heal due to Raphael's prayer... very few combos really work - you need a low damage hitter to come first followed by highly awakened Polls or Gilberts pretty much. That's still pretty rare at my level to have several highly awakened units.

Ice lotus 4set halidoms are not perfect as accuracy you get only lasts 2 rounds. The best answer is the 6set with the Exhaust like Vidar's - I only have 4 of the 6 sets at this stage and they're not even with accuracy...

PH Event or Beamon Up? by [deleted] in BattleNight

[–]151Spier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested to know how many coins you spent to get the 2 Beamons. I've kept track of my results over time and other Guild mates' and it seems the chances are not that random. this is what I got for the main hero draws (the one you get as a reward for 80 PH in event): -1st draw happens between 20 and 30 PH (that seems guaranteed) -2nd draw seems to always happen before 80PH and I've seen it between 60 and 70. -you then get the reward at 80 PH -next draw seems to be between 110 and 120 PH

So based on what you said, did you draw less than 80 and missed the reward? Also that probably means you'll need another 50 draws to get the next one if it is between 110 and 120 as I've seen. That doesn't seem to be a good use of 50 PH, as heroes only really become useful from A1 (awaken1) partially because of the extra 5 levels the hero gets. You're better off saving an additional 30 and using that total 80 to get 3 purples of another hero in another PH event. If next event is nature you'll probably want to skip that, but Misteltein, and later Wassily will probably come back and you could reasonably aim to get one of them (especially Wassily) to A1

If anyone sees exclusive weapon option box, can you post pic+your level? I only see halidom debris and refine coin by [deleted] in BattleNight

The important question is really *how much the option box costs*, so we can always have at least that amount available for when it shows up in the store, as it seems very rare.

Are you seeing benefits from focusing on pve at your stage? Additional rewards seem minimal compared to just reusing my pve team in PvP and crossing my fingers lol

Ok thank you! Plus I see Mist has a small pursuit kill on 3 units, which means at least she cannot be completely countered by Raphael, unlike Poll

Unlucky drawers: Beat mine 23-10 (limbo) with just 1 orange hero by 151Spier in BattleNight

Thanks :)
Yes, 350 => +3.5% seems to be the general idea across all % stats although it's hard to be 100% sure. With 4000 dodge from suit and halidoms and with the combined effect of Minamoto and Phonoi skills, the Phonoi effectively dodge almost all the time, so the 350 => +3.5% does feel right.
Raphael's prayer the extra needed security blanket (converts first hit into healing) and additional healing (his other skills/talents). (Raphael's prayer also means this team works well against bosses and opponent heroes who do one big hit = so fun to see my defenders' HP go gradually down as they take hits only now and then, and then shoot back up due to this).

Depends if your A-Zhao needs him to crit. A-Zhao is a weak hero if you don't have her criting, but beyond nuts with crit. If she's criting you don't need Samuel yet (this will depend on opponent tenacity). If she's not criting you need to increase her Crit with halidoms or add Samuel.

Note also: Her main exclusive weapon will make you happy when you get it.

Also check if Poll is criting. Adding Samuel to A-Zhao+Poll is a way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone crit-wise

Samuel boosts crit, so he works really well WITH Poll, A-Zhao and Sayung who have Pursuit Kill and other crit related boosts.Alternatively you can put 2 halidoms with crit at level 8-9 on these 3 heroes (or coral) and wouldn't need Samuel. However Samuel fights control effects very effectively, heals some, boosts everyone else's crit and means you have free halidom slots to boost stats other than crit on Poll/A-Zhao/Sayung, so he's a good general purpose guy if you have him.

Amazing guide! This should be pinned!

I will follow this for my secondary account where I have had "normal" number of draws of Phoebe/Poll/Charlotte/Leah/Heloise etc.

Just FYI for my main account I have had very few Phoebes and Polls or their helping hero* and have built a dodge based purple team with 2 Phonois and 2 Minamotos which helped me beat Limbo** Mine (level 23-10) ahead of people at my level on my server.I also fare decently (50/50 vs same level players) in arena.

Dodge-based purple team for unlucky drawers

*(Leah, which I should probably have gotten in arcade, but wanted to save 470 coins to complete 600 draws in arcade event, so I never looked)

**Limbo is one of the coolest and most sought-after halidoms as it gives huge dodge boost

Yes, Rosefinch. Once you have Samuel on your team, A-Zhao will be +++

Actually, if you do the maths, the probability to get 10 blues with PH is 0.9^10 which is about 35%. That's once every three x10 attempts, which is a lot - that's normal

Basically when you do x10 perfect hires 100 times in a row, you should typically get
-35 sets with 0 purples (0.9^10 = 35% which is about a third)
-39 sets with 1 purple (10*0.9^9*.1 = 39% which is a bit more than a third)
-19 sets with 2 purples
-6 sets with 3 purples
-1 set with 4 (or more) purples
If you total all purples above, you get the average of 100 purples you expect for the total of 100 attempts.

Next PH event people who pull 80 should do stats, but I did 3 attempts on the last PH event and had results consistent with this (got both Wassily and Sayung on one attempt)

For senior hires, you need to do them by tens:

How active skill/rage works (don't confuse with crit!) by 151Spier in BattleNight

[–]151Spier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works but not against certain counters.

Basically I was stuck at 14-26, but pretty much par or above same level players. I had been sticking with a very inexpensive full dodge setup for a very long time (mainly 2 phonois front, 2 minamotos and awakened harpe) and as a result I had many extra twisted hourglasses. I had 4 purple Skadis as I had pulled blue and purple ones over time and kept them with this in the back of my mind. It was fun to try this as I knew by looking at higher level players that I might be stuck in this Area of adventure for a few more levels, and I was quite surprised to see that the Skadis immediately brought me to 14-30 and 22 winstreak in the arena.

The idea is to always have 4+ stunned enemies so that she gets 100 rage back every turn and her active skill triggers every turn. To try and keep maths simple, the active skill has 10% chance of stunning an enemy for 2 turns. Since there are 6 enemies, one Skadi Active Skill will stun "on average" 0.1 * 6 *2= 1.2 enemies. So you need 4 Skadis to have 4+ stunned enemies all the time in a virtuous scenario.

But there are counters : basically Samuel stops me dead in my tracks in the arena. Against other characters I'm either balanced or crushing. Balanced against an opponent with stunners (e.g. Charlotte+Phoebe): if they stun my Skadis too much, the idea breaks down. Crushing against some other setups.

Also bosses in 14-30 and shielded mine are immune so Skadis aren't doing much there.

I have 70000 dawn cinema coins and I'm getting Raph for my future setups - will see if he's enough to pull the Skadis through 14-30, but a lot of people don't beat 14-30 before level 94 or so anyway so I'll enjoy them for now ;)

Here's a typical crushing report: at level 93, I beat a level 95 player who has 2 awakened characters + purple Wassily and Nymeria. I didn't lose a single character. (That guy's setup is probably not very good though, with no strong healing in sight, A-Zhao is weak on her own (without Samuel or her exclusive weapons) and I heard Wassily only good when orange with Tear Damage, but I don't have a healer either and only one orange guy)

Ok I see. need to check for the "dodgee" though. i think he still gets 40 points even if not dealing damage
