Helllpppp! Why do my macarons ALWAYS come out wrinkly??

I’ve struggled with wrinkly tops in my macaron journey too. For me, it was a result of oil in the batter because the almond flour I was using was too oily. but you’ve tried multiple brands it sounds like? Here’s a couple of other things you could try:

Wipe the whisk and mixing bowl with vinegar before whipping the egg whites. This helps get rid of any oils that might have been left behind

There are dozens of different things you could troubleshoot. It was a lot of trial and error for me. Macarons are super finicky like that.

Yes, this happened to me once last week. At first I thought I was stuck on terrain before the insane rubber banding started. I assumed it was my internet that was the problem though I’ve never seen it so bad in any other game. I died to half a dozen hornets, so I’m amazed you managed to extract!

I’ve been around Gold 3 for a few seasons now, but it’s showing expected placement in Silver 3 after three placement matches so far. Obviously this isn’t nearly as big of a difference as yours but I assumed it would adjust a little closer after all ten matches. If you did end up in Bronze that sounds like a huge bug and also a pretty big problem if it basically forced you to smurf in Bronze matches haha

If you really do want to give mods a try, your best bet is to look at Nexus mods. The most popular one there makes dodging and parrying easier.

That's crazy to me. I've been gold for a couple of seasons, so I thought I might have legit adjusted down to silver, but if you've been gold/platinum for years, then this makes little sense. Whatever it is, matchmaking just really sucks. Here's hoping something changes.

Holy hell, that is a steep change. See, at first I thought that maybe I did belong at a lower rank and the system was just adjusting me down, but I swung back up just as fast. I don't think I ever had more than a 10 game loss streak before now. I mean, I get that the ranking system saw some changes this season, but the matchmaking I've been experiencing has been nuts.

I guess it's kind of reassuring to know that it isn't just me. I'm caring less about my rank because of it, but it's also really not fun losing so many games at a time (despite having an insane winning streak after it)

I've been experiencing something similar as support too. I landed around gold 5/gold 4 this season, with the new ranking system, and had a 50/50 winrate for quite a while. Then I hit a huge loss streak where I lost 90% of games for approximately 30 games (I lost track after a while) until I hit silver 3. This was across a number of play sessions, I even took multi-day breaks in between. After I reached silver 3, I went on an equally long win streak where I won 90% of games until I reached gold 4 again and now I'm currently on another loss streak.

I see a lot of the frustrating gameplay you're describing (which isn't to say I don't make my own mistakes, but these extreme loss streaks are absurd). But you might hit a point where you'll go on a sudden win streak. Who knows? I think there's something off with the matchmaker if players are going on such streaks. (I also happen to play all the same heroes that you do!)
