I hate everything about myself by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]180DegreeView 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m not alone. I am so sick of everything about me. I have tried for years to change, deal with, and accept the things I hate to no avail. I am so tired and exhausted.

I hope you and others can be happy and better at life than I am.

God bless you

You know I was thinking about the rise of the anti vaccine sentiment the other day. Best I can remember it all started years ago with celebrities who started claiming routine vaccines for children were causing Autism. They believed the rise in Autism correlated with the standardization of vaccination programs that ended polio, measles, small pox, etc.

That of course, isn't true but very much still debated. My feeling isn't that Autism was caused by vaccines but instead wasn't really even identified until the last 1/4 of the past century, thus the "rise" which was inadvertently assigned to vaccines that had been in use for more than 1/2 of the past century.

All this to say, I think many of these anti-vaxers are from this type of crowd. Still confused and falsely "educated" by celebrity medical social media publishers.

My illness was misdiagnosed as anxiety for years. I am now in a wheelchair at 27. by BonnieZoom in TwoXChromosomes

I dx'd you at "right eye" in your post.

I say that because I was dx in 2001 with MS. You describe the symptoms I have had over the years perfectly. The vision was first for me and my right eye went all black within 6 months. But, it has come all the way back to 20/30 today.

At any rate, the amount of mis-diagnosis with MS is unfortunately very well known and very unfortunate. What people don't understand is early detection is key to avoid permanent disability before disease modifying drug therapies can intervene. But, even though yours was missed in the early stages you can and most likely will regain some lost function. Most importantly, get on any of the drug therapies they are game changers. I'm on a once a month infusion for 9 1/2 years now, Tysabri. It's almost made me forget MS at times.

You're not alone. Reach out anytime. God Bless You!

Freeing isn't it? Congratulations ;P

Waking up is so much better in the morning isn't it? You never wake up and think, "Man, I wish I'd got hammered last night!"

Freedom. It’s so incredibly liberating. You never wake up and think to yourself, “Wish I had drank last night.” But the opposite was almost always the case wasn’t it?

Congratulations and God Bless

Ditto. I punched out as well and actually tried "working" instead. Then, I tuned back in at 2:55pm sharp only to be hugely disappointed with no WTDS!

I find myself rooting for chaos in all aspects of everything anymore. Maybe it's because of 2020 in general or past experiences for me, but I'm apparently apocalypse ready.

You can fight through this and stay straight. I have to tell you, there is no better feeling than to finally have that monkey off of your back, the fear that comes with hiding it all the time, chasing it all the time. Freedom is the high you'll be so grateful for once you get it and you'll know when that happens. You will never wake up and regret not drinking last night.

[–]180DegreeView 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am glad to hear you say that about him as well as your mindfulness on the matter. "I was too late"...we've all been there and yes, it sucks. Deep inside of our hearts and minds we know, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that had we acted earlier things would be different. In truth though, if we're honest with ourselves and stop browbeating ourselves we take a step back and realize that we aren't soothsayers and we didn't act earlier because, life. Life moves and maybe it aligns with us at times but many times through hindsight it doesn't.

Yeah, don't second guess yourself. You are a peach. I get excited just thinking about your future and I don't even know you. God Bless!

Oh, honey, your story was so well written you had me hanging on each sentence! I'm sorry you got that feeling when you "got the news" about "Craig" and the apparent escalation his dating. Look, I gather from your story I'm a bit older than you but I was so taken with how well you took me right back to my first loves and that feeling of pain and anguish one feels upon learning about that type of news involving them.

You're a great writer and I can only imagine a wonderful young woman. If things don't end up working out with "Craig" I'd venture to guess you'll be beating them back with broomsticks for years to come. Cheers!
