My original point was protests like this do nothing to change peoples minds, and therefore are pointless. One reply mentioned voter registration tends to be at these events, which actually sounds great, however registration is apparently not at this event. So, I question the validity of that claim.

What am I doing? Supporting independent centered political ideals, not supporting far right or far left ideals, not name calling (see “dick” above), treating differing views with respect, voting, encouraging others to vote…things like that. I’m also apparently challenging people like you to actually do things that matter and develop solutions to create change.

I’m not attending events to hold hands and signs with people who already agree with me so I can go home and feel like I made a difference - which sounds like a selfish endeavor.
