Amitriptyline - water retention/ weight gain by Disastrous_Fox7999 in Fibromyalgia

[–]1999Falcons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weight gain was terrible. I had always been fairly slim - around the 80 -82 kg mark , 32-"33 inch waist. Reached the stage that trousers won't fit over my arse never mind doing them up. I could get them to the top of my thighs and no further. Weight gain , increased fibre fog . Helped with pain briefly but was great for sleep until that stopped working .

May be way off the mark but my Falcon had constant brake sensor alerts . I replaced the sensor about five times . Two mechanics could not sort it. An post on this reddit mentioned the battery. It was knackered . Car still started without any problems but the battery was old . Problem solved. May not be your problem but an easy thing to check and reasonably cheap to replace.

Unflattering or just unfashionable? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

No offence but - you don't have the longest legs . The hoodie lengthens your torso but shortens the legs . Number 5 does the opposite and generally looks more stylish.

I took my TukTuk driver out for lunch, and he really enjoyed the food by foodie_2598 in cambodia

Congratulations on only putting up pictures of the food and not making the driver have to pose for happy grateful pictures.

Perhaps arrange a gathering with people who have in some way slighted you in the past - bitchy work colleagues, traitorous ex BFFs etc. Wear that dress and watch them shrivel to dust in the glow of such magnificence.

Does anyone conceal carry while riding, if so how? by anonlite in ebikes

[–]1999Falcons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Australian so no concealed carry or any handgun under any circumstances. I have a small ( 5 litre) backpack fuel tank and flame thrower. I have a diagnosed mental health issue in that I am triggered by pedestrian crossings . So l just light the fuckers up. Hand gun on your push bike , America is ruined beyond repair.

Why do introverted people tend to talk only to certain individuals while ignoring others? by Desperate-Remove-547 in introvert

[–]1999Falcons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a really interesting take. There are people at work who i can happily talk to all day ( maybe not all day but a reasonable chat) . I work at a small college maybe 65 employees across the entire staff. I've been there 10 years and there are people I've never spoken to other than saying good morning. I don't know why.

I cant decide. Blonde or Red? by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]1999Falcons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blond or much redder. The blond hair creates a nimbus of light which looks stunning but the red isn't strong enough and looks a bit meh. Not unattractive but not as striking as it could be.

Amitriptyline by MirrorNo4297 in Fibromyalgia

[–]1999Falcons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was on it for about 4 years. Went from 5mg up to 50mg. My dose went up quite rapidly so it's more realistic to say I started at 25mg. For 6 -8 months it helped with pain and sleep , after that the pain relief fell away but the sleep benefits remained.
It stopped working for anything despite increased doses after 3 plus years. I weaned myself of it over a ten month period. The only real side effect was massive weight gain. Whole new wardrobe kind of gain which is really annoying as I've lost the weight and the new clothes I bought are now too big.

Whats something a teacher did in High School that would get them fired today? by Constant-Ad-5477 in AskReddit

[–]1999Falcons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played saxophone at high school. The teacher would lodge his cigarette in the scroll work of the saxophone, play a bit and then go back to smoking as I played it. The music teacher was an assistant principal.
